Chychrun

I think value-wise, Guhle (great top 2/4 potential) an asset that can play on a NHL roster (Lehky) and two draft picks including a first is a very fair price for Chychrun. But I don't see why AZ would let him go since his contract is cheap and he's starting to have a bigger role with the yotes.

Lekhonen
Not a bad idea by itself, but I doubt that MTL lets Lehkonen go he's is very important in that team for the role he brings. We lack a bit of depth on the top 9 LW, so Lehky is crucial there as well. Byron and/or Weal are probably the players that are going to be traded.

I just think that one more really good defenseman puts them in a great position. A hometown guy like Letang can be a huge add for them, but I get that he may not be the dman they are looking for. I thought of Toronto, but the cap involved would be hard to manage.</div></div>
No doubt that Toronto will need to do some cap space managing to acquire someone like Letang. But it's not impossible. And if they overpay PIT for them to retain some salary, it could be a WIN-WIN . PIT offseason should be very entertaining!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habs4ever</b></div><div>Kris Letang is from Quebec, but he shoots Right. Habs have Webber and Petry. Plus giving up hard hitter in Fleury that is young. Letang is already 33. A good player but Montreal passes and I have not even mentioned Domi yet. Pass!</div></div>
The deal itself is not that bad. At that price, PIT must retain a part of the salary though because I think that MTL slightly overpays here. If that trade happens, Petry should be on the move because our team doesn't have any more space for top2/4 RHD. And like your saying, Petry is younger and already a big part of our defense. I personally see more of a match with Toronto that lacks RHD.

With Lafrenière he is probaby the most NHL ready prospect.

Just an idea Offseason flat cap Jarry Anderson Graves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>If the idea is to make a move to help Colorado win now then we should just keep Graves. He helps us win now too ya know!
Giving up a cost-controlled young top 4D and our 1st for 1 year of Tatar isn't worth it for us. I would rather try to find a way to add a 2nd line winger with the pieces we have available (i.e. Zadorov, Jost, futures), or alternatively just simply resign Namestnikov who has done very well since the deadline (6 points in 9 games) and also has a track record of producing when playing with top players, as he did with 44 points in 62 games (58 point pace) at Tampa in 17/18.
As for the Jarry trade, why exactly are Montreal acquiring another starter when they have Price? Makes no sense.</div></div>
Very interesting! I know that Graves is a good player for COL. But with Byram coming as a LHD and with their need of a top 6 forward, I was seeing a match here.
Tatar would surely sign an extension, at his age, most definitely team-friendly deal, with Colorado being one of the best NHL team in a clear win-now window. Surely Tatar>Namestnikov, but Namestnikov is a nice option too.
In this Trade, Jarry can be seen as a B-Starter. Backup goalies has been a problem here for a while. I wanted a goaltender that would share the load more and give Price breaks more often. A comparison can be made with Rask and Halak, Halak being a "deluxe" backup.
Very interesting take tho thanks for your comment!

I undertsand that Larkin is a very important player on your team! But lets stay rationnal, Montreal is overpaying by a mile here in terms of value. I agree that Larkin is the best player here, but if Yzerman gets Drouin, Domi, Juulsen (NHL ready), Poehling (future 2nd/3rd C), and 8th overall Pick on a incredible draft top 10, he just accelerated his rebuild significantly! I don't think that Bergevin would pay that honestly, thats a lot. Larkin is still a beast tho i would love him as a montreal centerman.

I think that Domi trade is pretty fair, but I don't see why MB would trade Domi to a same division team.

Really love the idea to target Vesalainen! But that trade is pretty one sided. You have at least to package Domi with a pick or an asset to make it even.
