Draft day capital
If the Sharks fall to 3 and Celebrini and Levshunov go 1st and 2nd, I’d be ok with a trade back to 6 while picking up Barron, the Winnipeg 1st, and maybe another pick (a 2nd?).

I thought Anaheim was pretty high on Vaakanainen, but he would help fill the quota of difficult to spell Finish names.

Agreed, that's why I said "At times" he has all the tools to be a 40 goal scorer in the league but has the mind of a 12 year old peewee house player at times lmao

They'll never pay to move players as long as the cap isn't an issue, which it won't be for another 4-5 years.
Love to see Matheson and Savard traded but reality is that one of them likely stays as the grizzled vet of the group. That's likely to be Savard since they have less depth at RHD

raft day trade with STL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLaveragefan</b></div><div>Well - Don't get me wrong. I Like Gulhe, but I think his ceiling is limited to top 4... and he won't reach that Top D spot. Dickinson has better tools IMO.</div></div>
I guess you haven’t noticed but he's already reached that top D spot. I feel some fans have turned on Guhle a bit lately but it’s completely unwarranted. Sure he makes some mistakes but the kid is only 22 playing top pairing on a rebuilding team. Imagine what he’ll look like at 25 when this team is ready to contend.

Heard STL is looking for LHD
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLaveragefan</b></div><div>No no!
I'm not saying Guhle for Neighbours + a first. or Kyrou + a first.
Compensating picks could go anywhich way - I think on a Kyrou trade, MTL might have to add.
On a Neighbours trade - STL may have to add a little.
IMO I think Guhle is close to Kyrou but value a bit less.
EX:
Guhle
2024 AVS 2nd round pick
for
Neighbours
2024 STL 2nd round pick
I think that would be reasonable. Hell even 1 for 1 could be done.</div></div>
Ahh okay, I thought you were suggesting the Blues would need to add on to Kyrou for Guhle... which is insane.
But seriously, man, you can almost certainly forget Neighbours. He's not available. They love that kid like cake. And not some stupid store cake. I'm talking mom's devil's food layer cake with vanilla frosting cake. That's how much they love him.

raft day trade with STL
The front office, the whole team and the fans seem to absolutely love Neighbors. He’s made an extremely ineffective power play very effective due to his willingness to pretty much do anything you tell him to.
I don’t see any world where him or Thomas are moved. I could see arguments for pretty much any other player on the roster, even though some wouldn’t make sense.
I really like Guhle, I also don’t really see MTL moving him, for the type of trade we’d probably look to acquire him for. Not to mention we would also then probably need to find a way to move a defenseman not named Parayko for a 2nd liner afterwards. Pretty much robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Not the worst idea ever, just highly unlikely either team would part with their guy.

Doesn't mean you have to trade Guhle at a loss, and well before Dickinson will be ready to fill his spot no less.
This would set the rebuild back significantly while not addressing the teams only real long term need, that being a true gamebreaking scoring forward

I guess it depends if MTL really likes a player at 12th OVR, then yeah, moving Guhle could become an option.</div></div>
Guhle is the only sure thing to log 25 min a night
Trading him would be a mistake, imagine Hutson Xhekaj Harris Struble Engstrom don't become top 4 LHD

Who rejects this trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LivingAnew</b></div><div>If I'm Chicago, I do that deal. Kovacevic had good success with Luke R as a coach at MTL; I think that could continue in CHI. And, for now, anyway, he could fill a gap with RD- or gaps (plural) - if Murphy is traded.</div></div>
Kovacevic never had any contact w/ Luke in Montreal. This is some ACGM fantasy. Luke was named head coach of the Hawks 3 months before Kovacevic went from Winnipeg to Montreal. Unless they were talking a lot on the phone or telepathically, they never had any direct contact.

The Canes have no need to trade Necas, and if they do it will not be for futures. Values aside - and 2 firsts is probably plenty on value - this package is not enticing.

We can probably draft him at 7th... no need to trade hutson.</div></div>
He's good but not that good
Hutson is now the bar for all NCAA Dmen going forward knocking Leetch 40 year record down
Ryan Ellis did what Parekh did in the OHL in less games at the same age
He's the only top 20 comparable of note in the last decade or two
Outside there's D'angelo , Mintyukov, Evan Bouchard and Darren Raddysh
Good Comparables
Not on Hutsons level though who will go down as the all time American Point Scoring among Dmen im sure
