Thread: How much
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>Nope. That is incorrect.

Suter is 2nd fiddle.

Spurgeon is...

A) The franchise leader in Minnesota for points scored, goals scored, assists, and number of games played from a defenseman in a Wild sweater, having surpassed Suter's total in all categories THIS year. He stands alone at the top. Suter is #2.

B) Has 7 more goals through his career than Suter does, despite having played in 509 less games than Suter so far.

C) Is a career 111 in Plus/Minus in comparison to Suter's career Plus/Minus of 101.

D) Carried Suter's slow a$$ for his final three years with Minnesota as he hid a lot of Suter's warts.

In short. Spurgeon is the better goal scorer, defender, player with more games played with the franchise, and has surpassed Suter's total numbers with Minnesota in all areas.

The only areas Suter has on Spurgeon for their careers is assists and total games played. Which he leads by a wide margin. But the vast bulk of those assists and games played come from his time in Nashville, so don't count towards his time in Minnesota.

Spurgeon is the best defenseman the team has ever had. It's true that Suter likely has the better career overall, but Spurgeon has been the better defenseman for their entire Wild tenures.</div></div>

The only reason he has more points and goals scored than Suter is because he has 4 more years in Minnesota then him...Suter is yours guys' best defenseman ever right now, because of how good he was in his prime and how he never lost his point production(except for his last year with you guys).

Now if Spurgeon helps bring you guys a Stanley Cup, or is a member of the Wild for the rest of his career then I would agree with you about him being your best defenseman...

Also...Plus/minus means absolutely nothing, don't know why you brought that up...
