Putting the Dub in DUBAS!
Good haul for St Louis as well, but the Leafs absolutely had to make this move and they did so without losing any top prospects

haha I just did an ACGM for the Leafs with a similar trade.
Leafs accept, but I think Leafs would rather not give up multiple picks.
They have so few picks as is.
I'd try to go with a prospect instead of the other 3rd.
Or St Louis can add a 5th or something to even out pick quantity

Kerf is only owed like 200k in actual dollars at this point... 750k base salary this year.
Taking on Kerf is a complete nothing burger

Maybe Holmberg could be moved instead.
You'd have to adjust the picks though as Holbergs value is much greater than Voit

I think the market value will be to start with a '23 1st and add a decent prospect that has some runway. For the Leafs maybe it's 1st + Voit? Maybe Moldenhauer? It won't look too impressive for the Blues IMO but if they can't hold out for a '23 1st then they may not trade him at all.</div></div>
I hope you consider this an extreme overpay.
There is no way Sandin is moving for a rental.

Lucic was just a fun idea of having a tough guy. Could be anyone.
Not worried at all about the C depth when you have Matthews and JT at the top and then Holmberg and Steeves as 3 and 4 is fine.
Murray should be gone. Much rather Woll at sub 800k than Murray at 4+mill.
Dubas has shown comfort with having a smaller roster before and then adding players when guys go on LTIR

I voted fair deal as Tarasenko's value is low right now, but the Blues got their 1st rounder. They'll probably get another one too
Rangers definitely have higher upside in this deal if Tarasenko can return to his former self

Looking at it a bit more, yeah I think the Canucks could've gotten a better return than this. It could be on them for wanting a roster player in a return instead of quality futures.</div></div>
I agree with this and I even want to re-word my original statement which is that I think its a Van loss more than anything. I said NYI win, but its more like a lose lose. But yes. Wait and see.

Raty being their top prospect is because of a bad farm system, not because Raty is a top prospect.
Beavillier is not a decent player. He has upside still but he has been bad the last 1.5 seasons.

Good deal.
I disagree with everyone saying he should have been traded.
Keep him for now and he can still be moved if needed down the road.
I think his value will go up with additional experience. I don't see teams lining up to make a big offer for Kuzmenko at this point.

Re-signning Bunting Kampf Holmberg and Samsonov
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>swinny</b></div><div>1. think are very heavy on the Holmberg contract. Yes he has been great, but paying him $2 million a year for 11 minutes a game is not exactly sound fiscal management. $1.25 million tops. Let's see how he gets better in 2 years.
2. Why would you even sign Ellers when Holmberg has 100% proven his spot on the 4th line? If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
2. No way in hell is Voit ready. Steeves conversely IS.
3. The Kämpf contract I think is bang on.
4. Like Holmberg, you are overpaying Acciari. Love his game, but not $2 million worth. Maybe $1.5 million..... because unlike Holmberg, he has more experience.
5. SDA is waiver exempt, so a complete waste of a roster spot having him on the team. Given the Leafs organization blueline depth, WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better option to sign a 7th D. Or trade Roberston for one since, ya know, you Robias Islanded the guy.
For me, this is a mess.</div></div>
Agree with all your points, but the Kampf deal is too much.
He's good, but replaceable. Not worth 2.5m. Holberg or Steeves can play that spot
Also probably wouldn't pay Bunts 5m
