love the slight habs fan bias to have Caufield over Batherson, Suzuki over tavares, Petry on the team in the first places and the flames best players on the taxi squad just for fun

None of these seem remotely plausible. Montreal doesn't want Barrie's contract at all, Schenn is worth more than that, and dumping all those contract is going to cost Edmonton a HELL of a lot more than Samorukov (Ceci might not be cap dump, but he's doesn't have that kind of value).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letter_Kenny</b></div><div>A Ken Holland apologist. Nothing new.</div></div>
Lmao. Holland is an easy bottom 3 gm in the league. But if youre talking about a gm doing a bad job then you are saying someone else wouldve done better. Issue is nobody did better by aho. Whoever you wouldve wanted instead of KH didnt either pick aho. So blaming that on ken isnt fair. Theres plenty of other examples that i doubt you need that one.

NGL, the trades are very skweded towards the oilers winning. They are all terrible for the other team, they are all oilers fleecings

What the heck is that Ottawa trade, why would we give up a great forward that Ottawa loves, a top prospect, and a third for basically a defenceman that isn't rated very highly by Oilers fans that there is absolutly no need from Ottawa as we have Zub, Thompson, JBD and as a power play quater back there no room for him on the point as Chabot and Brannstromm are our quaterbacks. Why would we also want a prospect that we have no room or interest in.

if the fans are impacting a management team's ability to do their jobs, then there is a serious issue. I don't see any reason why a deal like this can't happen. They've played one game against eachother in the past two seasons for crying out loud

that is ridiculous. the canadiens are going to rebuild and the Bruins are trying to win the Cup. They're at opposite ends of the standings and are of no threat to eachother. It's impossible for them to make a deal because of a rivalry that hasn't had a spark in it for 10 years?

Losing Lehkonen isn't the end of the world, but having him even for 3 years for maybe $500K more AAV could be beneficial. That's how you get players like Jarnkrok on 6 year 2M contracts.</div></div>
But how much is Lehkonen worth right now ?
~ 13 goals a year on a full season
~ 30 points a year on a full season
MTL best forechecker
MTL best PKer since Danault left
Plays with is heart every shift
Big lack of finish …
I hope Marc get a long term deal around 2M AAV on is next contract. But he is worth more IMO

St. Louis Blues signed Charlie Lindgren (1 Year / $750,000 AAV)
Decent goalie that sadly got burried behind Montreal's depth over years (Mixed with a clear lack of trust from management), he's got experience and trained with the some of the bests in the business (Waite and Price).
I've always been a fierce believer in him and to me he could be a late bloomer (À la Dubnyk) and start his real career if he has a shot at backup.

(SEA/WSH) - Vanecek for 2023 2nd
A legend who never let in a single goal with the Kraken!
in all seriousness, this expansion draft is turning out to be a waste. I figure they're better off with a draft pick but you'd expect them to get such picks as sweeteners for the expansion. And the thing is many other teams would've been willing to pay more for Vanecek than the Caps. An easy win for the Caps and a bad omen of things to come for Seattle.

Seattle could have picked Dillon and flipped him to WPG for two of these picks, then picked Kahkonen instead of Soucy and probably got even more.
This continues to be a rough start for the Kraken.

Perry is very slow for an NHLer, but I’m not exaggerating when saying he has top-5 hands in the entire league. <strong>He’s second to maybe only Joe Pavelski in being the best PP net-front presence in the league.</strong> He can easily put up 40 points for the Bolts next year.
Also Tampa Bay’s 1st unit will be the best powerplay the world has ever seen. Better than any hockey team ever assembled, even on the international level:
Perry
Stamkos - Point - Kucherov
Hedman</div></div>
Agree that Joe sh*ts on everybody when it comes to net front, but after that no one beats Perry. When we had them both, our PP units were amazing. Now with Tampa's PP, it's going to be unfair.

Thanks for all the memories Corey! This year’s playoff run was magical, and now the offseason following it is bringing a lot of pain. But I’ll always have the memories of the 2021 season and run. You’ll always be one of my favourite players and I can’t wait to see you enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame in a few years.
