It would appear that he is planning on leaving any ways, this is an amazing package for 2 departing ufas especially if an extension is negotiated for Willy.

Sabres aren't going to be interested in doing you any favours with Campbells contract, you're likely giving up a first and a low level prospect with nothing coming back in return.

21/22: .933 SV% (3rd best), 26.42 GSAA (1st), 19.81 GSAx (3rd)
22/23: .920 SV%, 4.43 GSAA, 7.14 GSAx
22/23 after return from injury: .930 SV%, 7.72 GSAA, 8.22 GSAx
His overall numbers are lower because the Canucks have a terrible d corps and a historically bad PK. If he was on a team that could defend competently he’d be a Vezina candidate year in year out.
Garland is also a good 2nd line winger, especially at 5v5. The Leafs also get rid of the worst player/contract in the trade in Murray</div></div>
Murray can be buried on LTIR if the leafs really want or could be dumped elsewhere for fairly cheap, Garland is not a good 2nd line winger on a contending team, and does not fit the leafs needs what soever.

Colorado has been talking about dumping him for years now especially with Byram becoming a really good dman, 2 firsts might be a lot but if they want to keep contending and compher goes elsewhere they need a 2c and Kuzzy has proven to be a hell of a player on a good team.

If he is unwilling to sign a long term deal to make him the highest paid player in the history of the cap era, he clearly doesn't want to be a leaf or care about the teams success, this would obviously be a decision made this year. if he indicates he won't sign long term. You have to trade him if thats the case.

Probably takes a 1st + 3rd + Rosen to get Wilson, WSH could easily let this ride out to the deadline and fetch a lot more, I would expect both Freddy and Graves to get more money and term this off season, but Sabres have the cap for it so not a big deal. This team is solid, easily a wild card team.

Defence is questionable? okay... Leafs were one of the better teams defensively last season and I would say this is an improvement, gives Gio far less of a workload. Murray could have been in the Philly trade but I see him getting sent to Robidas Island next year, guy got hurt 50 times last season.

Yup only problem being the leafs really only have two high quality prospects and I don't think they would want to give up both. So the only way they get a deal like this done is with a bunch of the C+ to B prospects

Marner trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Please stop.
Since 2016 Toronto has conducted this experiment -- exploring whether you can construct a winning team from the top down. Now that the results are in, and undeniable, and the answer is NO, Toronto fans want to switch places with Los Angeles so that the Kings will look like the top-heavy Maple Leafs and the Maple Leafs will look like the full-depth Kings.
NO.
We're on the upswing. In contrast, as your Big Four contracts expire, you face the prospect of becoming a non-playoff team if you lose even one of them, and utter collapse if Matthews decides to go elsewhere for a better chance at the Cup because you have one of the five worst prospect pools in the League. (The only non-regular you have in your entire system who would make our roster is Matt Knies.)
Keep Mitch Marner for two more seasons. We have a well-balanced team and three of those players are core members of our future. Marner's two seasons wouldn't be anywhere close to sufficient compensation for them.
What awful, uninformed takes. Getting one of the best wingers in the league for only two seasons is not the great boon you guys think it is, since LA wouldn't be able to re-sign him. Timmins is utterly redundant in light of our strength and depth at RhD, so he's valueless to us. Samsonov isn't equivalent in value to any one of our three youngsters. And the idea that Arvidsson is essentially a cap dump is laughably ignorant -- he scored 10 more points this past year than all but four forwards on your team, and I'll go out on a limb and predict that both of you can name those four Maple Leaf forwards without having to look them up.
Absolutely horrible evaluations.</div></div>
I aint reading all that but im happy for you bro, or i hope you get better...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Enrique</b></div><div>LA doesnt want any of those players. And they have to trade their best players</div></div>
I would think they do want those players, they get a good young goalie, a cost controlled defenceman and a superstar on a retained contract. Arvidsson is essentially a cap dump and they give up two prospects and a roster player to balance out the value.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sk540</b></div><div>i think it's about the draft capital, combined with another higher pick who may still have the potential to be a game breaker but needs a change. TK technically fits our window, however, he had a career year and plays a position that we currently have a glut of. Maximizing his value and allowing us to add some draft capital that can be used under the current regime's strategies, in combo with Zadina, would be worth it for the Flyers. I think even more so if those picks are for this year to start this offseason and rebuild with a bang, building a strong foundation right off the bat.</div></div>
100%, it makes sense to trying capitalize on his value now, coming off this season his value is probably as high as it will get. Maybe im underating Zadina's as a player and his potential, I just think they should be looking for a higher end prospect and first rounder for him.
