I would suggest actually following or watching hockey before spitting this foolishness into a widely used forum...

That's nowhere near enough for Huberdeau. Nylander is not the blue chip prospect people once saw him as, as he has struggled to produce in the AHL and has yet to solidify himself as an NHL caliber player on a consistent basis

Carolina hangs up the phone if Rob Blake calls them with that offer. Besides, they aren't looking to deal one of their left shot dmen, ESPECIALLY their number 1 dman. They're taking calls on their Right shot dmen because they have a lot of quality guys and a few younger players waiting in the wings. Pesce is highly sought after, but they're trying to angle teams towards Faulk

Duchene wont sign for anything less than 6 years. Hes in his late 20s, and he has a young family to think about. Hes gone on record saying that his priorities on his next deal are 1) Going to a team with a good chance at consistently winning 2) A place where he can settle down with his family, and a place where they will be happy since those will be the formative years of his sons life

Edmonton is looking to shed salary, not take any more on. They would need to offload an expensive contract to take on Perreault

Backes and Krug are staying
I dont think Tuch is going to get dealt. Unless there are rumblings that Vegas is taking offers on him that I haven't heard, he seems to be a key piece of their team for the present and for the future (they did just re-sign him within the past year long term). Vegas will definitely need to make some moves, but I don't see Tuch being involved.

Pavelski and Braun
I'm a huge fan of that Braun trade. To me, that is very plausible and provides both teams with a good return for their current situations. The Cogliano deal, however, seems less likely. Ottawa is probably going to want more than a 4th for him, as he isnt a great "buy low" candidate for a bounce back year. I would imagine that they would ask for a middle tier prospect in order to take him off of Dallas' hands.

We help out the sharks
That's hardly "helping" the sharks. Vlasic is a valuable shutdown defenseman, one of the best in the league. It would take a lot more than a bottom pairing defenseman in Kulak and a second to get him from the sharks. They realized that they're in cap hell after dishing out so much money to Karlsson, but I dont see them moving out Vlasic as the solution. I would say that Nyquist is all but gone as a UFA, Donskoi as well, and they will likely deal Braun to a team in need of a 4-5 defenseman capable of playing a shutdown role. If they want to bring back Pavelski, Thornton, and extend Meier and Labanc, Doug Wilson will need to get creative.

Feedback
Toronto isnt going to just give Kadri away for Mayfield and a mid round pick. He had an off year offensively, but he just had back to back 30 goal seasons, is responsible defensively (when hes not going over the line) and is a great pest to have. I also find the Labanc trade to be a huge overpayment by the isles. Bellows is a blue chip prospect, and Aho is knocking on the door to being an NHL regular who moves the puck well from the blueline and provides depth scoring from the back end. I do like the thought process though

McAvoy wont go 4 years at 5mil per. He MIGHT take 5.5mil for 2 years, but the longer the term the more money he'll be looking at. For 4 years, it would probably take a minimum of 6.75mil (in my opinion).

Bruins fans What would it take to get Carlo
Tanev is very injury prone, and is much older than carlo. Carlo is just now hitting his stride and proved throughout the playoffs that he is a huge part of bostons future, especially once Chara retires. It would take a lot more than 1 year of Chris Tanev and a swap of first round picks to pry him away

You are absolutely ignorant. A 22 year old defenseman who is scoring at almost a PPG pace on a team with little offensive talent outside of Stone and the now-departed Duchene and Dzingel will command a salary of AT LEAST 8 million per year on a long term deal. The guy plays 25+ minutes most nights, showing that he is already a top pairing defenseman. Good luck getting one of those for 4-6 million a year

The price for a young, offensively gifted, right shot defender who regularly plays 25+ minutes a night is astronomically higher than the offer proposed here

Anisimov is just another aging, offensively-challenged forward that Boston does not want. And the fact that Donato is included at all in a deal for him is absurd.

Nobody is trading for Kovalchuk or Brown, and Necas is untouchable from Carolina's perspective. I also cant see Florida trading Huberdeau and a 1st round pick for an aging (albeit still very good) centerman when they already have an impressive duo of Barkov and Trocheck. Minnesota also already has far too many 30+ year old forwards that cost a lot against the cap. I'm sorry, but I just don't see a lot of feasibility here.

2019 Offseason
Overall i feel that a lot of the moves make sense. Miles Wood is projecting to be a solid middle 6 forward, but you have to give something to get something and Hamilton is worth the risk (assuming whatever personality issues seem to be plaguing him wherever he goes). I also feel that the Johansson extension is pretty risky. That is a steep cap hit with relatively long term implications should his injury history persist.
