Yah, I'd agree I just know as fans we overvalue assets of our own clubs. Leivo is a player who can't crack a lineup and Brown is a player who scored 14 goals and is payed 2.1 million. I just didn't want to be seen as not offering enough. If the leafs can make the trade without the 1st rounder that would be nice. I know the Flames need right wingers and I think Levio and Brown would thrive on their team.

Leipsic is better than Hyman without a question. Trade Bozak because Nylander is the long term option at 2c and it opens a spot on the wing

It seems Manson is the player everyone has their eyes on now. I hope the leafs can get him. I think the ducks will be looking for a veteran forward though. They have a good team and will want to make a push for the cup. I suggested Komorov Yesterday and you said the value wasn't there. The teams may have to make this a bigger deal based around Mason to the leafs and forward depth to the Ducks.

OK Maxwell, you have a point regarding the expansion draft. Then make a trade and roster post 2016/17 season. And the trade would be Komarov for Manson (Smith is UFA). Komarov for Manson is still terrible value. You can do better. Think that Leafs could sent some non expansion eligible draftees who are near NHL ready for Manson.</i></div></div>

Yah, thats fair. I think the Ducks would like Komorov though. I think they'd like to win this year. It may be a Komorov plus kinda deal.

The deal with Dallas was supposed to be for Oleksiak and Johns and as far as JVR for Hamilton. Hamilton is a great player on a good deal which is worth a lot. Burke loves him and the Flames have far too much money tied up on their back end. I think Hamilton will eventually be the odd man out. Also, Hamilton is not overrated!

Well it's reported that the Flames have too much money tied up in their D and are looking for forward help, JVR is great value at his current cost. The Hunwick and Polak trades are representative of shipping each player wherever for a draft pick and Campbell, Laich and Michalek would be place holders after deadline until end of season. I don't see what minor league goalie you're talking about??
