There would have to be a contract going to CLB in order to balance the amount of contracts/team. This could lead to some interesting negotiations ;)

I agree, could of offered more there, maybe a 3rd or possibly a 2nd

Bergys Wishlist
I called it a wishlist but:
1- It will be interesting to see what Hall does sign for. I would see teams hard to sign him for $9M given the revenue losses.
2- I could see Yzerman using Alzner as a stop gap during the rebuild and has the cap room to absorb that kind of cap hit (Det is losing a ton of older LD to UFA)
3 - St Louis is in serious Cap Mgmt if they want to keep their Captain, they will have to make sacrafices

I agree but ARI is going to have to make some tough decisions with a flat cap and I don't see any olive branches being extended their way. Which player would you try to pry out of there if you were in MTL shoes?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>Just a rule of thumb RE the Armia/Roslo deal. The whole point of that trade was for WPG to cut some cap so that they could stay compliant and or be able to spend cap elsewhere. That was a specific situation. Does that apply to WPG today? Do they need that much cap help in order to resign anyone or what not? Judging from their current situation and predicting what they'll need to do next year, I don't think they need to unload Perreault that much. There is even the possibility that they trade Perreault with retention for a cheap draft pick. @2M he is not a cap dump and some teams may actually be interested.
So recreating the Armia deal in this case is probably not gonna happen with WPG. Try teams like Tampa instead. They'll be tighter up against the cap than WPG will be.</div></div>
I see your point and it's valid (The Jets do have options). With that in mind and the Jets cap situation of conservatively trying to sign 12 players with $10.5M. What would you value Roslovic's value at?

If you make that trade, i say you continue the purge and pick up more picks and prospects by moving Petry and Tatar.
I agree that this trade doesn't boost us into the playoffs next year but I would hope with all the picks on hand that MB pulls off fireworks at the draft and during the summer in order to bring a bonafide star or two into the fold and give the team a fighting chance in the divisional race.
Hey hey hey hey......... your job is to say something about how Habs fans are delusional. Not to say things like "interesting" and "I do believe". :awesome</div></div>

I don't mind the trade that much. Advantage being that JC knows how to get the best out of him. But a beefy buyout may be needed for the last year in order to pay guys like Gally and Danault

Ok ... So the question is. If FLA does end up signing Bobrovsky + Panarin, then what do they give up in order to make space for them? (Something has got to give with those significant contracts coming through the door)

I really like the VGK deal and think its possible based on VGK's cap situation.
Might have to take a different trade route with WPG if you wanted to get a deal done.

Mellanby - Burke Scouting Reports

Or did I miss when Schlemko suddenly got really, really good?</div></div>
I think you missed it ;)
Really just throwing it out there. The AGM and Western Pro Scout were at the NYI-ARI game the other night which could be just be routine. But Leddy would be a great fix to the Habs LD situation and the NYI are retooling as well.
What would you put out there as a potential trade?

Habs fans i need your opinions here
I think it all comes down to the TDL. If the team is close to a wild card spot, they will go for it. I would think MB would be a buyer but only pick up players similar to 2 yrs ago with the likes of 4th liners and no home run pick ups.
If they are on the outside. Then I would sell of players like Benn, Schlemko(maybe) and maybe a LW so that we can stock up on picks in a great draft class coming up. (Take the same approach as last draft and try to pick up players like Olaffson whom have fallen down the board).

Pitch for Coyle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arousedcat</b></div><div>Doesn't really fix the Wild's needs. We have so many LW's that Nino is forced to play on RW, and the lack of a scoring right shot as been a thorn in our side for a long time now. Trading away Coyle only enhances that issue, unless we get a scoring right shot coming back. No way MTL trades Gallagher for Coyle (which is stupid anyways), so I don't see a good fit unless you sent us Suzuki (which again is stupid).
Basically, Coyle is a good fit for MTL, but the pieces of similar value that MTL owns don't fit the Wild's needs.</div></div>
Make sense from a Wild POV. Hudon can play both side but lacks the impact you're looking for coming back from a Coyle trade. What about Bolstering your D-Core with Schlemko???
