Seth Jones is much more difficult, rumors that marner is asking for near 10mil, which he's not worth, but if columbus wouldn't even pay panarin that much they certainly wouldn't pay marner that much. I'm basing it off the idea they trade panarin at the deadline because they don't want to loose him for nothing. Nylander could slide right in his spot and come at a lower salary than panarin will get. As for all the additional picks/players/prospects it is very hard to judge the value of everything and i included what i thought could be fair value for Columbus but obviously it's hard to judge the value of Jones potential (could be a norris or could underwhelm). I do agree with you that it would take a crazy trade for Columbus to part with Jones but i think the leafs have what it take for a trade to get done if the leafs pushed for it (I don't think they actually will obviously).</div></div>

The issue isn't that Columbus won't pay him it's that he won't re-sign with them.
