Bedard
So let me get this straight, Montreal is paying a decent asset (Monahan) and two very good prospects for a half a season of a guy on track for 15 goals? Not to mention the Habs aren't a playoff team.
And if you're so confident the Habs can re-sign him just sign him as a UFA in the offseason and spare the trouble.

Adam Fox, while excellent, is not worth Bedard, especially on an ELC.

The habs are literally going to wait till next offseason and sign him to a contract when he is a UFA. Friedman confirmed again during a recent 32 thoughts podcast that is still what PLD wants to do.

As a habs fan arber is definitely off the table in that deal.
Just for evans i could see them doong it
Foegele worst case you waive and bury and have a small cap penalty against
Barrie at 2.25 I think they could at the very least find a home for.
They dont necessarily want to trade evans but the 1st would be too enticing to pass up

But sure, projected top pairing right? 👌</div></div>
he didnt say he was projected top pairing he said the 5 younger dman than him are top 7 pick that project to be 1st pairing. guess reading comp and hockey comp are on the same level. Either way he may only amount to a bottom pair dman but shows more like a 4/5 that could move in and out of a top 4 depending on the depth of the d-core, either way not a 7th dman

People making Leaf trades for Terry are on one today.
To even take a call for Terry starts with Knies, a 2023 1st and more.
And unless that Robertson's first name is Jason, no team is breaking the bank for him.

Rangers don't have $9,000,000 per to afford Horvat long term. before making these kind of trades. Try looking up the other teams salary cap for next season.
No way is Brock Boeser returning a 2nd without retention. Probably less than 75% of the teams can even afford that cap hit. At full value you'll be lucky to get either a 3rd or 4th round pick for Boeser. Not even including his health issues.

Yes, and somehow at the same time thinks he is worthless to NYR like Tippett was for Florida. Actually it is kind of impressive ...

From Pronman
"Analysis: Bernard-Docker was an important defenseman for Belleville and got a few NHL games this season. He’s a mobile, competitive, physical defenseman who can kill a lot of rushes and be reliable in his own end. The debate on his game has always been how much offense he has, furthered by the fact he only recorded nine points in the AHL this season. To me, he looks like a useful <strong>depth defenseman right now as oppposed to an everyday guy.</strong>"
I admittedly haven't watched much of him because he seems way down the Sens depth chart. Doesnt scream attractive prospect by any means. I dont think Hughes would take JBD as incentive for a 2 year cap dump. He'd want a 1st as would most teams.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>turtlemountain</b></div><div>Dude is in the NHL because he plays for a team without as much established NHL talent on the blue line. Again, a nice story but the guy would be a 7D or in the AHL for most other teams in the league.
He’s about to turn 22 in a few weeks. Making the jump straight from the CHL is great, but less impressive than if he were in his D+1 or something.
He’ll probably continue to develop and become a more consistent player, but realistically he’s unlikely to become more than a bottom pairing NHL regular. For an undrafted guy, that’s pretty awesome. But let’s not kid ourselves and put him in the same conversation as Power, Sanderson, etc.</div></div>
Its clear you are oblivious to how old nhl dmen actually are
https://www.nhl.com/stats/skaters?report=bios&reportType=season&seasonFrom=20222023&seasonTo=20222023&gameType=2&position=D&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,15&sort=birthDate&page=0&pageSize=50
He is the 6th youngest dmen to be a nhl regular this year. The average draft position of everyone younger than him is 9th overall.
Its pretty stupid you cant see the middleground between bottom pair and potential franchise dman. His realistic projection at this point is a 3-4 dman.

I'm not even a Montreal fan myself but people of bad faith just love to assume that he won't progress. He went from CHL to NHL right away, He's leading all rookie d-men in goals. That includes Sanderson Power Addison Guhle...

This is why the doubters look so stupid.
Everyone younger them him is projected to be a franchise dmen. Several of the guys OLDER than him are projected to be franchise/top pairing guys. Yet he is apparently the ONLY ONE who has no growth in his game. Its garbage that reeks of jealousy.

Its a easy pass from MTL.
Best case scenario is the 1st round pick becomes as good of a player as Arber is but without the extra elements Arber brings A likely 28-32 pick isnt even a guaranteed NHLer.
Even if he doesnt progress much he still is already a NHL dman with a NHL calibre shot and heavyweight skills. He has a long future in the NHL

I know a kings player personally that I ended up counselling during the offseason that did much much worse than Logan taking one picture from an older woman that admitted texting him first and pursuing him first.
Logan comes from a great family. I met his father, mother and sister. This was a one off from an admitted immature stupidity. There was no rape, no beating. The older woman admitted she pursued him and the sexual encounter was consensual. I’m not turning a blind eye, I just find it funny that those that won’t let this event from over two years ago, go, often know little about the facts.

Trade deadline 23
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Why would LA want anything to do with that trade?
The Kings have a logjam at RHD. At one point this season, 5 of their 6 defensemen were right shots. They have less than zero use for Savard.
Montreal chose to draft Mailloux and now they're stuck with the bad PR nightmare. No thanks.
Josh Anderson would be a nice pickup for the 3rd line if he had a $3.5M cap hit. Retain $2M of his contract and the Kings might give up a 2024 1st for him.
There's nothing in this trade that would entice the Kings to give up Byfield or Turcotte.
Good troll job though I guess.</div></div>
I’ve watched Logan play 9 games this season. Trust me, Montreal is definitely not trading him. He will eventually be a top 4 D-man. He’s playing really well in London this year.
