You don't know what more there is to his game in the AHL than points. Neither do I really because I don't watch. What I do know is no matter how well people think he has played at the NHL, he is not on the roster. That's what matters. Meaning he is not NHL ready. He could play well if called up, but he is not there currently. I don't see him being around long unless he shows out enough to lock down a spot, which is definitely still possible. But I don't see it happening until he takes the next step

5 NHL points and good AHL stats means he is NHL ready? I think being able to stay in the NHL matters, apparently you don't. You probably don't have time to watch AHL hockey because you've made 9441 posts and I assume you spend a sizeable portion of the average day criticizing armchair GM's that people primarily do fun. Saying a player is NHL ready based off of AHL points when you don't watch the games is weird. If a player can't stick in the NHL, they haven't fully reached NHL readiness. It's speculatory based off of what you have seen. If he was good enough, he would be here. He hasn't done enough to steal a spot on the NHL roster. The next step beyond thinking someone is NHL ready is them sticking, which he hasn't. Which makes you thinking he is NHL ready kind of a moot point. Also, Bruce Cassidy 220-96-36 in his Bruins career. So saying he is just not a good enough coach is just false

Bergeron being a 1C in 23-24 would be a miracle.</div></div>
He is in the AHL and has 1-4-5 in 27 games. You've got a much different of earning a spot than I do lol

Lohrei to be our number 1 LHD for the future with a point production of around 50-70 points and a solid two way game
and for harrison i think he will be a good 2c
Jellvik, gallagher and especially mast look very promising too</div></div>
Yeah, if Gallagher keeps up like this he'll be an NHLer someday. Could easily slot in with McAvoy and Carlo on the right side. Harrison could have been a first-rounder if the OHL season didn't get messed up last year. Love Lysell and Lohrei. Looking forward to watching Jellvik at BC, as a BC fan

I kinda feel like Studnicka won't be around unless he earns a spot on the wing. Could be traded. Honestly didn't even think of Harrison or Beecher, but I really just wanted to add Lohrei. Wasn't thinking of all potential prospects who could be in the mix. Ideally, Beecher and Lauko are holding down bottom-six spots. Bruins invited McLaughlin to dev camp and I think the large majority of teams will be in on him. I've seen Marc play for years even before BC. I think he could be a great bottom-six NHLer

They're not trading their top prospect for Miller unless maybe (big maybe) they know they can keep him long-term

The Bruins won't trade Brandon Carlo and he has taken a bit of a step back this season. DeBrusk, Vaakanainen, and a first is fair. If they were to not take that, it could be because they could get a better offer, not that it wouldn't be enough. Could go either way

Detroit 2020-2021
Even if the FA’s get a bit more (Mantha, Athanasiou, Bertuzzi), they’d still likely have some decent cap space remaining. It also depends on whether they buy Nielsen out, which I think they should. If they were to sign or trade for a cheaper goalie than Holtby, they’d have even more flexibility. I gave them contracts to just get them on the team, I’m not going to try to forecast exact details this early in the season when I’m doing this for fun. One thing I do know is that Holtby’s gonna get paid based on the goalie contract comparables

Read the description. I was giving contracts just to have them on the team, not to forecast the exact contract.

This would be awesome. But I’d bury Backes in the AHL instead of buying him out and sub in Cehlarik or Bjork for Lindholm, and Clifton for Miller. Might take a little bit more to get Bailey, but not a bad offer

Honestly, I don’t think Weegar is a very good defenseman. They’d be better served distributing his minutes elsewhere. In this situation, they improve their defense, acquire a high-end forward, keep Hoffman, and give young guys like Heponiemi and Tippett a real shot

Thanks! Chicago is in a tough spot at 3. They're spoiled with options. Turcotte and Cozens are both excellent. Cozens can also play RW, which I think teams should consider. Turcotte is going to amongst a stellar group in Wisconsin in the fall and beyond. Podkolzin is just a massive toss up right now.
