<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>Definitely - The problem with the Leafs D Core, as currently constructed, is that it isn't very physical. So I understand what the OP was doing here, but this d core is worse. McCabe is the only guy who is physical. All 6 guys are very good but only one throws the body. I thought they would use the Klingberg money on a physical guy.
Time will tell what they do. Not very many guys in the league would be considered physical and who are upgrades over Brodie and who would be available as well. The list turns to virtually zero at that point. MAYBE Parayko? But at what cost?
Sorry for rambling haha</div></div>
I know the Leafs have needed a bomb from the point on the PP for ages hence the Klingberg signing. But he's been brutally bad the past 2 seasons. I was surprised Tree Loving signed him. At least it's just for 1 year. I bet he regrets turning down that Dallas contract extension from last summer. 7 years 7 mil AAV. 🤔

Oh you can't take out Mr. Wilson. LOL

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>Granted Brodie only has a 10 team no trade clause. So there are 22 teams he can go to, without being asked. So who knows who is or isn't on that list.
Brodie is also the Leafs 2nd best dman. I have very little interest in trading him for a 3rd (or at all for that matter).
I know a lot of Anaheim fans say they would pass on this trade, but Brodie would be a great add and they can easily re-sell him for more at the deadline with retention.</div></div>
Unless Tree Loving is getting an upgrade the Leafs probably shouldn't trade Brodie. Someone has to play actual defense. McCabe can't do everything and Rielly needs a steady partner to cover up his deficiencies. He'll miss Schenn.

Where's Bunting? Agreed on Bennett. Half this team would be suspended by the second round.

TBL additional moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pompadour_de_Armstrong</b></div><div>My guess is they are still open for business if there was something too good to be true offered. This isn't it. If I were a GM with cap, I'd be looking for a second+ depending on the contract. If the other team thinks the player "shouldn't" take that much to move (like Myers whose contract is not obscene), I would simply say we're not the right partner for you. Go find the team that wants the sixth round pick or bury him.
There are only so many roster spots and so much salary in the budget. AZ is pretty well filled out on both.
No shortage of guys who can be a 6-8 d, even in the Coyotes' system. They need a top four guy. If there is a steady D who can eat 20+ minutes a night reliably on a short term deal that a team is looking to dump because his hit is too high, then yeah, I guess the Coyotes would take a look at taking something negligible for the dump. Myers isn't that guy.
All sorts of fans who think they'll hit the dump lottery getting someone to take their undesirable contract because "it isn't too bad". If it isn't too bad, bury him, buy him out, or find a team that actually needs him.</div></div>
Coyotes are waiting on Dumba, yes? I think they made him an offer but he's still shopping around.

Crouse
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xspyrit</b></div><div>I took the last 2 seasons only which are Crouse's best 2 seasons to avoid any "cherry picking stats" accusation
Lawson Crouse : $4,300,000 x 4 years, 0.56 PPG (46 pts per 82 games)
Mathieu Joseph : $2,950,000 x 3 years, 0.38 PPG (31 pts per 82 games)
Crouse costs 1.35 more per season but is a clear upgrade offensively. They are both good defensively but Joseph has elite PK metrics. They are the same age, Joseph is a plus skater.
So what would the swap costs? A 1st + 2nd seems good no?</div></div>
All I know is Sens fans will rejoice if and when Joseph is no longer playing for the Ottawa Senators. Cherry picking stats to prove your false narrative doesn't move the needle for me.

Hey man 56 years was not very long ago. 56 is the new 46. The Leafs Cup drought just recently dumped their wife and married someone 25 years younger. You should check out the new Mustang! 4 easy payments of $19,670!

Svechnikov: 2.23
Aho: 2.22
Necas: 1.85
Edmonton had EIGHT players that scored more than 1.85 P/60 at 5v5. Eight! They lost 1 of those 8 this summer (Kostin) but added Connor Brown. THAT'S offensive depth.</div></div>
Apparently Carolina won the Cup this season. According to Seanie Rushdie. He changed his name from Salmon to Salbas, Jerry!
