What the hell
Why, oh why in your infinite wisdom, Lou, would you call up Andrew-****ing-Ladd? He's not even playing that good in the AHL - he's putting up numbers that would be disappointing if he was up here in THE AHL, getting paid 5.5 for the next few years, and instead of saving as much money as possible and maybe calling up a player like Bardreau who actually deserves it, you call up LADD?!?!?!
Your thoughts.

Are the Jets a cup contender
I'm not well versed on either of these teams honestly so if this is unrealistic/over/underpayment then please tell me and give me some constructive criticism. I definetly think that Anderson would be a rental (cap) and can easily be removed for afformentioned cap reasons. Savard would be a little hard to fit but I think he's a solid upgrade on Kulikov and Kulikov's contract expires this year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Random2152</b></div><div>yup. and that is only marginally more than Grabner got. They needed to get quality, even if it was a 1st and one quality guy (high end/1st round prospect) and they didn't.</div></div>
All I heard was "I'm drastically overrating Hall's value because I don't have a grasp on the New Jersey Devils' situation with Hall"
He's not playing out of his mind this year and they lost leverage as SOON as it became clear that they HAD to trade him. This is a very solid return for a player who has a bad reputation when it comes to teams he's on (Duchene stuff) and who HAD to be traded.

He got one less guy and a late first (similar in value to a 2nd).
That isn't a ton more man.
See the above.</div></div>
Late first? IF the Arizona Coyotes make the playoffs (admittedly likely), they probably won't go any further than the 2nd round (if they win the cup I'll just look like a jackass), but that means they'll have received a first and a second (assuming they dont somehow find the cap to bring Hall back) and 2 B prospects and a B/C prospect.

Oh yeah, because 4 AHL players and an AHL goalie is comparable to at all to a first and a third at the LEAST, two solid future prospects and a wild-card in Schnarr.

A very solid C prospect, two other solid prospects and potentially 2 firsts for a rental to Arizona.
I think it's fair. Shero didn't get "fleeced", and the Grabner trade was NOT comparable to this at all (*ahem*)

Eberle
What, oh what to do about Eberle? Trotz commented on some of this years "passengers", and without naming names I know instantly that the passengers are MDC (obviously, he shouldn't be up in the NHL at all right now) and Jordan Eberle (arguably Martin and Komarov). We just signed him to another contract this year and if he keeps up with this pace, his 5.5 million dollar hit should be one of the first to go when the Beauvillier (who seems to be our Eberle replacement), Barzal and Pulock extensions come along.

(STL/DET) - Fabbri for De La Rose
As a casual Blues fan, I can understand that people are worried about trading Fabbri for a glorified depth guy; but I can tell you first hand he was ALWAYS injured and has looked pretty cooked these past couple of years.
Best case scenario it's a fair deal, worst case Fabbri reinforces his glass body and realizes his ex-potential.

Considering he isn't even reporting to Bridgeport (trying to force Lou's hand), that would be a no-brainer for us.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs_fan13</b></div><div>I’m not saying it’s a bad trade. I would do it, why change things up when you are on a ten game win streak?</div></div>
I agree. Zeeker is a fan favorite and he's been playing good in our zone and in their zone so far. But say we start losing again. Say Zeeker stops producing for a few games. Selling high and getting a younger forward who plays the same type of game is a no-brainer, right?

Barry Trotz
Trotz is the best coach in the league. When the Snow-Weight duo was fired i was obviously ecstatic to see Snow gone, but I actually kind of liked Weight and his system and was genuinely confused why we hired Trotz rather than keeping Weight around as coach. I was still happy about it because he's obviously the best coach we couldve possibly found for the job and now I am absolutely ecstatic about his system. His system is the reason all of the isles haters who said our success last year was "a fluke" and that we weren't making it this year are now all singing chants and cheers about our team and how good we are. I have been an Isles fan since we were one of the worst teams in the league and I hate to see people who misunderstand the situation. Bardreau looks bad on paper but he's been playing great and has been a good piece to our center core, Johnston is good rough n' tough grit (I think better than Martin and his obvious replacement) who's obviously protecting Wahlstrom and Bardreau and Wahlstrom isn't playing fantastically on most lines and has gelled the best with Bardreau and Johnston.
Trust in the vision.

This winning is unsustainable but I really think they’ll be okay</div></div>
I for sure think the winning won't last. Obviously i'd like to win every game from now on, but I still think we're going to be a playoff team again once the winning streak ends. Eberle being back will be awesome (Komarov is good depth but he wont make that big of a difference). Like I said in the post, I would honestly rather Johnston play than Martin and Bardreau is playing awesome considering he was unknown before his call-up.
