Where Does Hall Go?
I recently made a comment on a facebook group about Hall possibly going back to Edmonton and the Oilers fans ripped that idea apart. (it was a very thin rumor at the time) Is Taylor not a good teammate as suggested, or is that bunk?

(VGK/TOR) - Clarkson & 4th round pick for Sparks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hedman77</b></div><div>I need a leafs fan to explain to me why they traded Sparks</div></div>
They have Neuvirth on a PTO, that might be a factor i guess.
I'm sure the Leafs didn't want to give up a skater and liked they young goalies they have.
(not a Leafs fan but throwing in my opinion anyway)

Marner Offer Sheet?
I just watched the hockey guy on youtube talk about this. its something like 12.4 cap hit I think. I will throw out my guesses for the sake of conversation.....
Shannon thew out the Islanders but I think they would have to move someone to make the cap hit work. (i think, maybe?)
4- Ottawa. They have the cap and need to hit the cap floor. They have a nice stock pile of picks so losing 4 firsts wouldn't hurt too bad I think. But its Ottawa...
3 - Winnipeg. Cap space. But Laine needs a new contract, so eh.
2 - New Jersey- They are above cap floor but still have a ton of cap. Hall and Marner and anyone, that line might work.
1 - Colorado. below cap floor and made some moves a lot of y'all said looked weird. Avalanche are my pick. Mostly cause I don't want it to be the devils or anyone in the Metro thats not Philly.

Hey Robert Hagg is on that list...oh wait he is now the most hated D-man in Philly with MacDonald gone, never mind.

San Jose Sharks signed Erik Karlsson (8 Years / $11,500,000 AAV)
I guess the Sharks will have to worry about the back end of this deal when it happens. And if i'm not mistaken, a player can wave the NTC if they chose? I don't see that as a big deal. When a player reaches an elite level, shouldn't they have control over where they play?

WORST UNDERRATED LOPSIDED TRADE
Could make an argument that the trades involving early first round picks, but that would assume we know who the team had targeted in the draft before they moved the pick.
The Flyers trade for Adam Oats stands out for me because he didn't do much and then signed with the Ducks in the summer.

Take fighting out of hockey ... seriously.
I've never played organized hockey, so I'm at a huge disadvantage understanding, well a lot about hockey. I'm a fan of the organic, drop the gloves cause you need to stop playing dirty type of fight. The refs can police the game enough to keep everyones head cool, in my opinion. Players having this honor code with in the game is very cool, I don't want to see that go, but I also don't want to see guys get concessions (I've had a bunch, it sucks) Todays players seem to play a lot different than 20 years ago, so fighting has really gone away anyway.

I remember when I was a kid (the 90's, I'm 35) seeing a fight was awesome. Now I cringe a bit, knowing what I know now about concussions. I don't want to see it go from the game though.

So much for Simmonds getting the Flyers a first. Bummer seeing one of my favorites the last few years go. Holding on to a slim chance he comes back in FA....doubtful though.

The reaction from Flyers fans on the facebook page, you'd think Stolarz won the Vezina 3 times in a row. One comment said if Hart needs a mentor, he doesn't belong in the league! LOL I hate my teams fanbase so much!
I like the trade, sad to see Stollie go but it looks like Hart/Talbot is the future
