Minnesota Wild signed Marc-André Fleury (1 Year / $2,500,000 AAV)
Funny. I figured he would want to finish his career with a contender. Oh well, I guess the Wild will have a familiar face to announce their first overall pick when they win the lottery next year

The big question about this signing is does he start having REGULAR season ending injuries at the trade deadline in year 3 or 4 of the contract?

Ottawa Senators signed Shane Pinto (1 Year / $775,000 AAV)
It is ironic that Corry Perry and Shane Pinto were the two most recent signings in the NHL. Pinto was suspended for 41 games due to gambling issues in a sport where a gambling website advertises on his team's helmet. Corey Perry was suspended until he stopped being front page news.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheFastAndTheFleuryous</b></div><div>I was under the impression that he wouldn’t re-sign. Good deal, though.</div></div>
He merely signed his qualifying offer. He only asked for a trade because he was slipping down the depth chart and wanted to have a chance to go to a team where he would have a better opportunity to get the lineup more than 19 times/season. He likely gets added to a Scheifele or Hellebuyck trade.

This signing was necessary because of the offer sheet the Leafs were about to tender.

Considering Hellebuyck, who has been one of the top 3 goaltenders in the league for the past 3-5 years, was taken in the 5th round, taking an 18 year old goaltender who was the best goaltender in the OHL in the 7th round is not a big deal. Delia was signed as a backup for the farm team

Yeah, I think he might need another season of Junior before playing against pros.
Mind you I was convinced Roslovic was going to be playing for London after his first training camp. I often say, that "what I know and $5 will get you a coffee at Starbucks" so there is that. LOL

Not unheard of. The Ice drafted Henri Nikkanen after the Jets did. I believe the intention was for him to play for the Ice, but apparently there was a pandemic. Anyone hear anything about this Covid thing?

Very few cases actually end up going to arbitration. Most are settled before the hearing.
Knowing who Copp's agent is, I am surprised that this wasn't one of the few cases that actually went to a hearing though. Kurt Overcharge likes to over value his clients and often poisons the relationship between player and team to the point that a trade is forced.

Copp probably took a team friendly 1 year deal and may have the skeleton of a long term deal started for the following season when the Jets have more cap space.

Not so sure that Copp is gone after this year. The only thing he doesn't like is that he put up top 6 numbers last year and he isn't going to crack the top 6 on the Jets this year without injuries. His agent was asking for north of $5 and the Jets were offering between $3.5 and $4 million. The arbitrator would have split the difference and awarded more than $3.64. I doubt Copp would rule out a long term deal for the right money for the following season.
Jets will likely move Niku and or Beaulieu and go with a 22 man roster to make the cap numbers work.
Based on Jim Benning's track record of grossly overpaying for 3rd pairing d-men, maybe the Jets could get a 1st pick from Vancouver for Beaulieu.

Vegas Golden Knights signed Peyton Krebs (3 Years / $1,275,833 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AwesomeMatthews</b></div><div>Why not wait until next offseason</div></div>
Knights were waiting to see how he recovered from his achilles tendon injury. He just played his first game of the season so they signed him to an ELC.
He wont make the Knights next year and unlikely to the year after, so the first year of his contract can slide for up to 2 years. The three year contract will probably result in ELC control for the Knights for 5 years.
I believe the NHL portion of the ELC would be higher next year and the year after.
Signing him now is cheaper in the long run and for the next 2 years, only his signing bonus ( if there was one) would count against the salary cap
