Easy decisions
Some interesting, outside-the-usual-box thinking here. I commend you for your imagination.
Personally, I'd re-sign RFAs Max Jones and Isac Lundestrom, but Stenlund is a nice idea. (If not re-signed, the RFAs have some modest trade value.) I'm not a fan of the Fowler-Pageau part of the Zegras deal, though.
I wouldn't be willing to commit to Jackson LaCombe that long-term just yet.
Bottom line: I think that all of these ideas have some merit. I don't think any of them can be rejected out of hand as unrealistic.

What is the price

"You should take my low ball offer and run, your player that I'm acquiring and putting on the top line is **** and not worth more than this."
Any idea how dumb that argument is? If that's "All Zegras is worth" in a trade, then he won't be traded, why would we sell low on an asset we have under team control for another three seasons?
You want him, you need to be prepared to offer a piece we actually want, and the only piece in the entirety of NYIs system is Dobson, for which I'll give you Zegras and our top RHD prospect in Luneau.</div></div>
LOLLLLL ZEGRAS AND LUNEAU FOR DOBSON???
alright bro. zegras is 23 and has 4 goals and 11 points in 27 games this season. Tell me about how he is worth more than a 1st and two 2nds.
Look what Dach and Newhook got at younger ages.
Now for the other part, thank you for reading my comments before you commented (not)!
Good thing you arent GM!

His numbers don't look good, but he has had one of the single worst teams in the league playing in front of him for the last several years.</div></div>
The problem with the 'bad team' argument is that his backups are always playing better behind that same team.

Gibson has been mediocre for many years now and has not been the better ANA goalie in a while. No GM that wants to keep his job will view him as anything more than a liability.

When he has been on the ice I thought he looked pretty good. Granted he is passing more than he should be and isn't shooting like he can, but he is still adjusting</div></div>
I think the puck finds its way onto his stick and he keeps finding ways to lose it. Kid is gonna be a force in a year or two, but his talent is so raw. Just needs to refine his game. This playoff run with the bears will be amazing for him. I’m excited to see how his offseason training affects his play next fall.

Bobby Orr was making 50k a year by the end of the 60s. Players not as good as him far less. The average salary was around 10k. for an average citizen.
That would be like McDavid earning 250k
Lets not pretend it wasn't a beer league. It got organized to make money.
Your post would have more credibility if it had any actual point to make.</div></div>
Actually, that would be like McDavid making 500K USD or 700K Canadian...
Because the league wasn't making as much money from their fans in 1963 as they do now....

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>they have a draft because the 32 teams need organization for how talent comes into the league....not for the fans.
Even when the fan base hasn't been there, and the league was damn near a beer league, they still had a draft.
So no everything isn't done for the fans. But they sure got you in marketing to get you to think that.
Fact is they careless about the fans and more about TV deals and advertisement money than they ever will the fans. It's why they bend over backwards to appease those crowds in ways they will never for the fan base.
Let me tell you a little something I learned from growing up in Cleveland watching the browns move out of town..... F the over attachment to a team. They don't give a $#!t about the fans. You just haven't figured it out yet. Money is way more important than the fans. They aren't in this business for fans, they are in it to get paid.
So don't blame the kid for doing what he thinks is in HIS best interest. Believe me, every time an NHL team leaves a city, they don't give a crap about the fan base. Go ask AZ fans.</div></div>
1. The NHL has existed since 1917, while the NHL Draft has only existed since 1963.
2. Your point would have so much more credibility if you didn’t have 1400 posts in just 2 months

2. I'm not saying other fan bases wouldn't. But at some point it's just a game man. He's trying to make his best real life choices. You can't blame him for that. Don't be so bitter about a game. They all make money on it, you don't. You don't really have skin in the game.</div></div>
Yeah I guess you're right man, it's just a game. I mean, why are we talking about any of this like it matters at all? Why do you have 1400 posts on a NHL contract website? Why do we even have an NHL draft in the first place? We should just let these teenagers decide where they want to become millionaires playing a children's game that we unabashedly throws hundreds if not thousands of dollars towards year in and year out. But just quit being bitter because I have no skin in the game lol right because fans don't mean anything in sports...

First trade is awful for Montreal. Based on trade comp, Zegras is worth 9 OA max. Harris for a second might happen, and the ship has sailed for a first for Savard. What made him especially valuable was the extra year of term at a good cap hit

I just looked at Kadri's contract as a comparable. But since Duchene is getting old buyout money ontop of whatever he signs for, a $5 million AAV sounds about right.
