Dubios
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Phleb2</b></div><div>I expect Tortorella to go soon instead of Dubois.
A lot of very good players chose to leave Columbus while Torto was coaching: Panarin, Bobrovski, Duchene, And there is a lot more players that will soon be in need of a new contract.
Sometimes, the problem is right in front of you!
Another couple of loses and Torto might just be gone as well as Dubois' problems.</div></div>
Agree for the most part. Honestly I think Torts plays a big role but I also think playing in Ohio despite the fan following, just can't stack up with NY or South Florida. Duchene got swayed by personal interest in Music. I think Torts has a bigger affect on attracting outside FA. Dubois has been the big star that has notably had issue with him but none of the others mentioned much of an issue with him.

Dubois
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Subbanator7667</b></div><div>this isnt enough for Dubios. Decent prospect and a middle 6 winger and late 1st round picks dont get elite pieces.</div></div>
You have to understand the situation. While the Jackets own the asset and it is their player, that doesnt mean they have leverage. THe player does not like the coach and being a part of the franchise as made known by a number of media outlets. Hintz will not go anywhere and Gurianov stock is high after the playoff run. A top 6 wing and A level prospect plus a mid-late first rounder is a very fair offer for Dubois.

Kling on to the cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MacanBayangan</b></div><div>If possible, I'd rather avoid shipping Nylander as his contract is pretty good and would then leave a big hole offensively. Ideally what the leafs need is to buy an upgrade on RHD and 3C without losing hear and now assets and remaining cap compliant.</div></div>
Understandable, but as far as Cap Hit, Klingberg may be even better in that regard. You save an extra 2 million off the books and when Klingberg is up in 2 years, that flexibility to add a significant piece with cap inflation becomes a real possibility.

Kling on to the cup
Honestly, the value I would say is okay. Not great. If the Stars were to move Klingberg to Tor they would likely want Nylander in return. THey need scoring and playmaking up front and a guy like Kerfoot, while a solid middle 6 forward, is not really a necessity. Could be a significant blockbuster if you were to go Nylander and Sandin, for Gurianov and Klingberg.

Possible FLA Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jmgthegm_1</b></div><div>Hold up.
Why does everybody think Dallas trading Klingberg is a good move?
Just because Heiskanen has been playing well does not decrease his value at all.</div></div>
No one is down on Klingberg, but Heiskenen does make him expendable if it were to bring in a player like Barkov. I see a lot of deals moving Lindell and imo, Lindell and what he does is much more difficult to replace then Klingberg.

Philly is getting bent over in that move. THey don't need DeAngelo, and Konecny is a budding star.

Nylander being moved would lose Bowman his job. He gave up an NHL read young defensman for him.

31 in 31 Challenge
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>eddyed24</b></div><div>I think the big problem with Dallas is not necessarily the offense but the coaching staff. 2 or 3 seasons ago Dallas was one of the most dominant teams offensively the problem was on defense. Hitchcock and Montgomery were a defense first mentality. Now they got one of the best defense but one of the worst offense while the key elements (Seguin, Benn, Radulov) are still there. I think they should hire a coach more based on offense while not sacrifing to much defense. I think a good coach for them would be Laviolette.</div></div>
THis is a great take. Monty actually had an offensive pedigree but adopted more of a defensive style because the personel could not tighten up. Bowness needs to remain on staff to run the defensive scheme and incorporate into an offensive minded head coaches plan.

No Cap Increase No CBO Small Trade with Buffalo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>I'm not sold on Dellandrea being a full-time asset for our team the next year. It doesn't follow the way DAL has dealt before with their juniors. Imo Dellandrea is going to play for the AHL team the first year, with possibly having the 9 game tryout period in the NHL. Which is why I'd hesitate in moving Faksa.</div></div>
I can see both sides of the Faksa trade. For me, I look closely at Col, Nsh, Stl and they all have significant center depth. In my opinion, you can't lose a big mobile third line center with Faksa that allows Dicky to be the 4th line center. You need to structure your bottom 6 as two third lines and I think you do that with Faksa in the fold. I also am really torn on this Benn CBO. I think he still brings a lot to this team and honestly, that is a huge move for a franchise that I dont know the Stars want to do being this close to truly making some noise as a Cup contender.

Outta average
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Yeah he is a downgrade. It's not hard to see how much the total change in Dallas have affected his play, but his abilites on ice are still close to the same that they were when he won Art Ross. He could easily be a 70+ point player in a little more offensive team. At least that's how I view it.</div></div>
You're not wrong. I think this will all depend on what the coaching situation is. If Bowness is the head coach, I dont see how Pavs could be as effective as we thought. I have a hard time seeing him being the head coach going into next year. I would love them to move on Gallant right now.
