All in for Crosby

Guentzel/Crosby/Rust has produced just as much - most likely more. Nobody on the PP has done anything. He's scoring at a 67 point pace while playing both sides of special team - just don't see how that's a wasted contract</div></div>
I see your points just feel at a scoring point and being more physical he’s a guy and contract we need to trade.

My issue with Rust is I think we wasted signing him to that contract and I don’t think he is a 1st or 2nd line player. He’s a 3rd liner at best on any other team. Sully continues to give him chance after chance even when the line of Crosby, Guentzel and Rakell was producing he splits them up to add Rust to the line to try an get him going and then adds him to the first PP and does nothing. I know he’s a good penalty killer but just a wasted contract. Just my opinion.

I know there prolly needs to add more for Calgary trade. An as far as Carter we need to get rid of that contract unless we keep him on the 4th line and keep White on the 3rd. I do believe we are in on Bertuzzi and Kuzmenko but idk what either trade will take.

Ok so come trade deadline and the penguins on in the playoffs and want to add somebody on the roster but they have to subtract someone as well to have cap room and without trading picks away. Who do you see them trading in order to get a good player back?

The last few trade deadlines I’ve been on here looking at all the trades everybody posts and technically everyone is nuts but at the same time not too far off from actual deals that have been made. The craziest trade I’ve seen was Jeannot for 5 picks. If you actually pay attention to what everyone is posting you have to admit the craziest of the crazy trades they aren’t far off of the actual deals made.

Ya might want to actually look at whether the team you're sending a player to, can realistically afford them.</div></div>
If I really sat down and took my time and looked over every roster then yes I can find the best trade value and fit money in for each team

Yea I have paid attention they don’t score enough and they don’t play the physical game and that’s what’s needed for playoffs. They keep going after scoring and skill guys and in the last few years, you tell me how far they have gotten.

Maybe this will work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>Jeff Carter might finish his career in PHI, so maybe he waives his NTC HOWEVER, Philly isnt taking that cap hit for a 5th round prospect. And then trading spots with you in the 5th. A cap dump of 3mil for an older guy with 0 pts in 10 games is probably a 2nd with PHI giving up nothing.
Rackell is signed long term, but its looking real bad right now. Hes 30 yrs old, signed for another 5 yrs at 5mil and just 3 assists in 13 games, playing with Malkin and/or Crosby? Thats probably a no.
And two waiver wire/journey men NHLers and a 24 yr old dman whos lost his job after 1 yr to a 26 yr old rookie doesn;t scream value, it screams quantity. To be faiur, it depends what you think of Garland, but its pretty meh</div></div>
That’s the thing teams are gonna end up trading players this year and we are gonna look at these trades and do the same thing you just did with my idea and it’s gonna blow our minds on why some trades even happened and or that’s all it took to acquire that guy. So my idea is beyond ridiculous I understand that but it’s not far off from what’s really gonna happen.

I look at it as a possible factor that Pittsburgh doesn’t sign Guentzel and they need a bigger younger forward.

DeSmith I view better than Ingram to be back up to Vejmelko.
Granlund replaces Galchenyuk and is a much better forward and can fit in all and possibly center the Keller Schmaltz line.

Its confirmed Dubas looking for fair deals for Granlund and Petry
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Snowhawk18</b></div><div>Dubas may have to take the deal he can get, there are not a lot of teams left that can absorb the cap hits AND would be willing to pay out the monies owed to the players he is looking to move.
The proposed deal with Hawks above would have Chicago absorbing cap hits of $14.5m, $11.38m and $5.13m for the next three seasons. On top of that they would be paying out $15.6m, $8.7m and $3.7m in actual $$ over the next three seasons.
Having said that and Ignoring the Reese Johnson part of the deal, do you honestly think one 2nd and one 3rd round pick represents a “fair deal”? I’m am 100% confident I know Kyle Davidson’s answer to that question… you won’t like it.</div></div>
I honestly don’t know how the trade will or would work but Blackhawks, Sabres and Coyotes are believed to be in on Petry and Granlund.
To me looking at Chicagos roster they need a LD man not Petry. Granlund I could they would like with a veteran center for second line.
As far as draft picks you never know from deal to deal not all are the same as not every GM view players the same way. Poile raped the Penguins and Lightning of their trades last year.
I view Granlund going somewhere else having more of an opportunity then Sully would give him a doing better. Petry I’m not sure maybe he just needs to settle in injury free year he could be way better.

I’d like to think Pittsburgh is working hard on acquiring Karlsson. I have no clue how but I’d assume they need to make a few trades to have cap room plus have enough to give San Jose for a good trade.
