He literally just signed Graves, who’s 6’5. And a bunch of other 6’4-6’7 players this offseason. Radim Zahorna (6’6), Joona Koppanen (6’5), Magnus Hellberg (6’6), just to name a few.

Idk. With Hronek gone, Petry fills in that RHD spot that they lack. He’s still somewhat useful, he can still be a serviceable defender in Detroit, especially with their current mediocre defensive core (aside from Chiarot, Seider) Besides, Detroit has a sh*t ton of cap, it doesn’t hurt them at all. And Kubalik is basically used as a 4th liner, they have a plethora of wingers.

Wood's decent - I'm not crazy high on him though. I think there would be some better alternatives - especially since you have some extra cap space to work with too</div></div>
Bunting would be great, he’s got that Dubas connection. Him and Reilly Smith would switch lines from time to time. Maybe sign him to a 4-6 year deal, and after Smith’s contract expires he can slot in on the 2nd line with Geno

If only Zucker signs that cheap. From the sounds of it, he’s interested in staying in Pittsburgh. If not, he gets paid elsewhere with the money he deserves. Miles Wood is the 2nd best option. 4 years for $3.5M sounds reasonable.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DragonKnight</b></div><div>Between Compher and Rodrigues, who is the better goal scorer and point producer?</div></div>
They both have similar stats, somewhat. Compher had a better regular season with career high of 52pts, 82gp, but was a no show in the playoffs, and Rod did great in the playoffs however, and a good regular season too but had an injury bug, 39pts (with less games, 69gp, he might’ve had the around the same points as Compher)
Rod was a fan favourite in Pittsburgh. I wouldn’t mind either of em as our 3C.

Don't think Bunting is pittsburgh bound with Smith here now, but could be wrong. Also don't really know if poulin is in the lineup.
Teddy can't be 3c either.</div></div>
I was thinking after Smith’s contract expires, Bunting can play with Geno or Crosby. Smith and Bunting can switch from time to time as well. And you’re right, I was thinking of signing E-Rod as our 3C anyway lol, although I’d love to see Compher but I doubt it

Gryz is certainly an upgrade over Dumo. So is Wood over Heinen. To me, Joseph is the odd man out here. Ty Smith has more upside, IMO.

Off-season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jukesy</b></div><div>I like this team I just dont know how it all fits together...
So you bring in Bear? Love it. But you keep Marino? You only bring in Bear if you dish Marino...
Also. Look at how expensive that blue line is...
The pens had massive issues with SCORING in their second half of the season especially from their bottom 6. So your soliution is to bring in a guy who had 4 points and ZERO goals with the Flames and then inject him into the top 6? I like Jarnkrok too but like... I dont really know if thats the solution. Take the money you gave Bear and Jarnkrok and use it to bring in a better 2nd Line LW who can actually score...
Then there is issues with your AAVs on some people. I dont think Rodrigues comes back that cheap (although I do agree thats what hes worth). Then you overpay for Desmith too...
I dont mind the AAVs on Geno or letang those are fine
I dont even hate this team it just fits weirdly. Look at the Pens last year. Expensive but capable blue line. No depth scoring. So your plan is to further dig the blueline into a hole (financially), and then weaken the scoring? Idk...</div></div>
We already have 3 capable wingers that can score, Guentzel, Rust and the newest and welcome addition, Rakell.
E-Rod, Heinen, Jarnkrok can slot in on any line. Jarnkrok, IMO, is somewhat of an upgrade over Zucker. He’s a combination of both Tanev and ZAR. I feel like he’d fit perfectly with the Pens.
I was also thinking of not signing Letang in favour of Lyubushkin, who’d be much cheaper. Marino, Bear, and Lyubushkin as the righty’s. But the D looks solid as is, last minute choice things lol

I would only really support a move for someone who can play on the second line with Geno. Whether that be Rakell or Garland or someone else, I just want someone who can jump into a top 6 scoring role right away.</div></div>
Regardless, we need someone like Fischer for the playoffs. We can’t keep getting pushed around lol

They should go for Boeser instead. He’s more controllable than Rackell, who’s a UFA this year. Idc if it costs them Kapanen, POJ and a 2nd/1st, it’d be worth it.

Experimental - One for One
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensibleguy</b></div><div>PIT
Brown, Connor

Dumoulin, Brian
It's an interesting idea, but there are problems with the fit.
Jake Sanderson will arrive in the spring, and although Dumoulin would ease the development for Sanderson, it's a short term need. Currently, with Batherson, White, and Pinto out, Brown is the Sens only right shot top 9 forward right now. Batherson should be back soon, but that just makes two, and trading Brown drops it back to one.
So here's the problem, The need for Dumoulin is short term, but the shortage of right shot forwards is also short term, so they cancel each other out. So Ottawa would pass on this.</div></div>
They need someone like Dumoulin, a veteran with years of playoff experience, someone who can slot in on their top 4. Someone who’s better than Del Zotto, Holden, Mete. With Bernard-Docker, Thomson, Zub, Brannstrom on the right side, in my mind, they need that good LHD.
