Resign him at 28 who's going to want 8 year and what $?? He's already making over 11M....Sorry not going to pay him that salary. We have Sorokin and Dobson we need to re-sign. Plus we can't move 3 starting players from our roster we can't afford to replace them. Marner - $11.5M / Nelson-Wally-Romonov - $9M - No thank you. We lose 3 Top starters who is making less for Marner and creates 2 spots we can't fill because now we have even less money - and still haven't signed Sorokin and Dobson long term yet.

Easy No from the Isles....not trading out top scorer, a 23 yr old winger how should score 25 goals at least if he's healthy all year and a 23 young old Top 4 Defenseman for 2 yrs of Marner .

Isles need to keep whatever little young players we have. Bailey will spend his last year in the minors. We cannot and will not trade anymore draft capital because of 1 yr of Bailey.

Severson is a nice player. But he's going to get paid this off season as a FA. He is not a fit for the isles. We have cap problems, plus we have to paid Sorokin and Dobson to big contracts
