Crosby and McDavid
Trade Engvall Mikheyev and Kerfoof for a crazy underpayment and you got yourself a typical Leafs AGM. In all seriousness, McDavid starts with Matthews. He is untouchable so nice try. Crosby WITH RETENTION is worth way more than a 3rd liner and a defenseman that could walk in free agency. I may hate Crosby but come on bud at least try.

debrusk trade
Couple things I see wrong here. Rask is going to get more plain and simple. DeBrusk is NOT fetching 2 2nd round picks he was awful last year. Senyshyn is worth maybe a 5th or 6th to me at this point, he has been a massive swing and a miss. At 24 he has 3 points in 14 NHL games and even in the AHL he has had minimal impact with 79 points in 192 CAREER games. Maybe a late bloomer but I can’t see that happening.

You’re the contrarian on the rest of this stuff.</div></div>
McAvoy isn’t a top 5 dman in the league bud maybe in a couple years he might be and even then I doubt he will be there. Boston fans like you need to be weeded out of the gene pool lmao. Overvaluing your players. I’m sure you believe Marchand is the best winger in the game. Oh, maybe you believe Pastrnak is a better goal scorer than Ovechkin. Who knows, you more than likely think the Bruins are still a contending team past this year.

That’s the lowest possible position he would be taken in a redraft.</div></div>
You’re dreaming thinking he is a bonafide elite number 1 dman. That being said you are comparing McAvoy to a player along the lines of Hedman. McAvoy isn’t a “legit bonafide number one” defenseman but in 3 years he MIGHT be able to hold a candle to where Hedman is now.

McAvoy is not the number 2 pick in this draft lol. He’s fine where he is maybe even drop him a spot in favor of Sergachev.

21-22 Bruins
That Florida trade is good for Florida. I can’t see Verhaeghe putting up the kind of points he is putting up again next season. Vaakanainen is a decent if not good prospect to bolster the defense of the Panthers with a late 1st to even out value. Florida steals Vaakanainen and the 1st for a guy who imo won’t put up points like this. Well done on making a trade that is actually reasonable on here.

Nylander would be playing RW with Aho. Faulk is definitely needed by Toronto but he is not even near a "spare d-man" he will most likely play on a pair with Hamilton. But everybody is forgetting that Toronto DOES NOT HAVE CAP SPACE TO SIGN NYLANDER WITH MATTHEWS AND MARNER.

Tampa is fine with the defense they have
Hedman
McDonagh
Sergachev
Stralman
Dotchin/Coburn/Girardi
Cernak (next year?)

I like this as a Lightning fan, because Pasquale can offer some mentoring to Ingram. Also in case of injury, Pasquale gets called up to be a backup, and Ingram gets valuable playing time.

I don't think he's quite ready for the NHL. He has 29 points over 57 games in the Liiga. If he was over a point a game, then he would be NHL ready, the Liiga is much less talented than the NHL, no offense to the Liiga players. A year or 2 in the AHL would do wonders for him though.

Can the Leafs sign all 3 guys? 1000000% yes: <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/714531">https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/714531</a>
Can the Leafs sign all 3 guys AND Tavares? No. Not unless JT + all 3 RFA's sit down and agree to take a little less than market value in order to all play together. That would mean JT and Matthews closer to $10m, and Marner/Nylander in the $6-7m range. Also...if they do that then they're committing to building their defence from within as they wouldn't have the flexibility to bring a big name D-man in.
So again, the Leafs can definitely get all 3 big RFA's signed to rich long-term deals. But based on what other options are available to improve the team, they may opt to trade one to improve another area. I just can't see Matthews being the guy they move regardless of if they bring JT in or not.</div></div>
I doubt it too that Matthews is the one getting moved. However, I believe that it wouldn't be out of the picture trading him with his value. His value is tremendous and can get a return that addresses every need in the Leafs' lineup.
