I think we made a great two way deal as well, I'm happy with the return I received from you, and it sounds like you're satisfied with the deal yourself, but it's not the Vatrano deal that has me like this, it's simply you being you.</div></div>
It's simply something that you observed which wasn't between us. Which makes you similar to a 12 year old girl to be persuaded by it. If your on the sidelines you don't know whats happening in the game. Let this be a valuable lesson for you to not assume you know something if it's not being said to you.

The Vegas 48 hour UFA negotiation window is a completely separate thing from Free Agency. It's an expansion benefit.
Vegas basically gets to try to talk pending UFA's into signing with them, rather than re-signing with their current team, or testing the free agent market.
Only Vegas and the team holding a player's rights are involved. (Technically it is only between Vegas and the players, but players will already have an idea of what to expect as an offer from their own team. We also have no way of representing the player's choice, so competing with the home team for the player is the simplest way around that)

The only reason I suggest the home team's bids get carried over to actual free agency, is to prevent them from offering more than Vegas, and then changing their mind later. Vegas then misses out on a player they should have been able to sign.

Yes. This also means a player you want might not reach free agency and be available to the rest of the teams. If Vegas outbids the home team, they get him. Which makes owning the rights to a player you want to sign that much more important.</div></div>
So we are really doing that period? I'm not sure we should overcomplicate things. Are you basically just saying that Vegas can match the highest bid instead of the home team? I'm not sure I understand this completely.

With all this you literally burned the bridge from my side too. You threw a tantrum over nothing and tried to say things that weren't true. talking about a deal and then changing your mind is part of being a GM. If a deal is not accepted at the time, the GM can change it. You acted like a kid and now please don't come to my thread unless you're coming to apologize for what you've done so far. I apologize if I'm not going to trade an exempt player for your player who i lose in the expansion draft, I thought for sure we could come to a deal like we did earlier with Subban Miller and picks. That was a solid deal bro and we coulda had another with Spooner + Vatrano for Rask + something, but it's like your not just dumping on me your dumping on Spooner too. If I was spooner I'd be like bwahahaha I'm in the Nhl and you're not, good luck with your life while I'm making 2.5M a year with my current contract. You should have just taken them both and the problem was solved. We wanted Gauthier, but we could have also added a piece. You just tried to work me over and it's unacceptable man, I don't think I'll be able to forgive you for this.

I think I could probably swing Spooner + Vatrano for Rask + Gauthier. I'd have to confirm it with my AGM. We lose 2 NHLers but Rask is the best current piece in the deal and our RW prospects aren't great after Senyshyn.</div></div>

This has nothing to with anyone except you and me, the comment is on my old thread, comment number 505, guess what, you made the comment.

I don't care if things have changed due to acqiring new players or expansion issues, what this is about is you telling me that Vatrano is now worth more than Rask is and it has nothing to do with the fact that Vatrano is expansion exempt.

Then you throw BreKel under the bus for something you know and I know he didn't do, the name calling is repetitive and undeserving in almost all cases, you are the most immature GM in the game, and when I say immature, it's not name calling, it's the truth plain and simple, I think you are on thin ice with a lot of GM's, Carolina's ice just happened to crack now.</div></div>

I really wish you would reconsider what you're doing. I don't think it's fair and even if you want to trade Rask for Vatrano straight up, I mean if you need that trade to feel good, we'll do it, or I can add slightly if that mends the fences with you, but I never said I was going to give you Vatrano + a huge amount for Rask, unless it was way before we got Nelson, who changed our game plan.
