This can work
Johnson is a good player but is a bit overpaid and has a lot of term left. If Tampa wants to move him it going to cost them. This isn't enough for the Wild to bite IMO.

Who is this solid prospect the Wild are getting? Surely it isn't a guy that was busted for PEDs and plays a role that the Wild are least in need for.

NHL should move to 8 divisions of 4 teams once Seattle enters
Poor Winnipeg, their travel is going to suck. That gives me flashbacks to the old Northwest division Minnesota use to be in.

If that is the price Florida wants. Unfortunately, Florida watches him walk in UFA for nothing since their asking price was too high.

Why would Minnesota ever accept that? The Islanders would be the ones paying not Minnesota. Plus isn’t Clutterbuck potential LTIR candidate?

Bring back MoJo
Puts the Wild too much over the salary cap and roster limit. Even if they move out Dumba since a player and cap would be coming back in that trade most likely.

Can a Boston fan explain the massive amount of Ritchie trades to Minnesota? He plays a position that the Wild don’t need. I just see it so often that there has to be a reason.

He has a point. The Wild are loaded with bottom 6 forwards. No reason for this move. Just throwing away a draft pick for no reason.

I like these deals, however I don’t see Zucc waiving to go to Buffalo. Plus after two more years Zucc loses his NMC so it might be smarter to keep him.

Crazy offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NYR1983</b></div><div>Is Ladd still in the minors? I don't think any MIN fan will agree with that offer either</div></div>
You’d be surprised, I know some Wild fans would do Ladd for Parise straight up. I wouldn’t go that far, however if the Wild start to rebuild that Parise contract ties up a lot of money for while. By the time the Wild finish rebuilding Parise would probably be LTIR or just an anchor. Moving Parise for Ladd gets out of that contract in a shorter time frame.
There is a big segment of Wild fans that would take this proposal in a heartbeat especially with no cap retention.

As a Wild fan, you don't want Mikko as your 2C. There is a reason the Wild who desperately needed centers played Mikko on the 4th line.

I never said I knew what would happen, but I think it is safe to say this trade won't happen.
maybe if pitt throws in a 1st round pick and center prospect they would consider it. If pitt wants to fit under their internal cap hit they need to be willing to lose trades.

A Wild Move
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>And you know this how?</div></div>
because I don't have homer glasses fogging up my evaluation of my favorite team's players. You really think teams are going to pay to pick up JJ? Even that Minnesota trade you talked about from Fenton has Minnesota's cap dump going back. Pateryn is a rental that actually can play unlike JJ.
Pateryn > JJ
Murray = 2nd round (I don't agree with this, but I'm willing to roll with it. I think he is worth a 3rd.)
get rid of the cap hit >>>>>>>>>> JJ
the value is horrible for the Wild in this trade. They don't win anything in this trade. They take on a lot of cap and lose a 2nd rounder. A GM should be fired if they took this deal. Plus the Wild's big need is centers. Guerin already said that Dubnyk won't be brought out.
