Nucks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>STLBlues17</b></div><div>Schwartz is one of the few players who likely isn’t getting traded. He’s so good and is the engine that drives the Blues when they’re going. It’s no surprise that the team is 3-8-2 without him and 8-6-2 with him. Even if he was being traded, this is a really lame return.</div></div>
this is too much that the canucks are giving up for an injury prone 60-ish point player is healthy. Not worth it

How would that deal affect Vancouver in 19/20?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>Who else to give "A"? Pettersson? No too young. Beartchi no, Beagle, Roussel no.. Gudbranson or Stecher? I'd go with Gudbranson honestly.. somebody would grow into that role I see Gadjovich after him as another "A"</div></div>
Gidbrandsson doesn’t make sense. He is somewhat of a leader but is not very impactful o the ice. I’d say a player like should still have to A because of his role on the team and in the dressing room. He is a veteran guy with lots of experience that the young players can look up to by his professional attidutr and work ethic

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mk458</b></div><div>Exactly. Why would Vancouver be trying to add these guys when rebuilding. And I suppose Horvat is 2 years younger than both those guys. But is his ceiling really that high? I've always viewed him as a really good 2C, but not a true number 1 center. Maybe I'm underestimating him though</div></div>
yeah i think this next year we will tell, becaus emost of last year he was injured so not really sure yet. I think he will be similar to a ROR which will probably be a 2C only because of Pettersson though cause i’d think most people will think that pettersson will surpas?

Karlsson is coming to Vanoucver
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>willowkink</b></div><div>Haha u know the gm said hes not going for him right</div></div>
k bud, benning may be on the fence about getting karlsson or whatever ur saying but it’s aquilini who is pushing benning to sign veterans( beagle, roussel, schaller). Aquilini wants the canucks to be competitive soon for many reasons, possibly or most likely why linden stepped down as president. So it’s possible for the canucks to acquire EK. And they have more pieces that Ottawa wants than the SJ sharks????

Stack the Rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mk458</b></div><div>Not trying to be rude or anything, but it would take a lot more to acquire these guys. Rakell put up 69 points and 34 goals last season, is only improving, and is getting paid 3.79 million for the next 4 years. That's absolutely one of the best contracts in the league. That contract makes him extremely valuable. It would take the world for Anaheim to give him up on that contract... In terms of players on Vancouver, it would take a Bo Horvat to get a deal done. And I don't see why Vancouver would want to do that. Same story with Trochek. He put up 75 points and 31 goals last year, and he's only getting paid 4.75 for the next 4 years. Again, one of the best contracts in the NHL. He can play both wing and center positions well and he's still young. I don't even think Florida would do 1 for 1 with horvat. Just my opinion!</div></div>
Horvat is younger than both rakell and trochek and has a high celilong and potential he hasn’t even came close to yet. He’s only 23 so there’s plebty of room to grow. There is no way they would trade horvat for trochek. I think your comparaskn of horvat to rakell is good, they are both great players but i don’t see them trying to get any of these players because of their currwnt spot as a rebuilder.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jdawglet</b></div><div>VAN GM has said no deal, added Dahlen to that list as untouchable. Not sure you can get Karlsson direct without one of Pettersson, Hughes, or Demko being part of the deal.
Probably the right value on Karlsson if the GM was willing</div></div>
sorry but dahlen isn’t in the same boat at pettersson, boeser, horvat, hughes and demko. he’s good but not top top end prospect. And it’s erik karlsson we’re getting in return here so we’re gonna have to give good prospects like dahlen up if the trade is gonna go thru

As a canucks fan i would do this because we wouldn’t be giving any of our key 5 (pettersson, hughes, horvat, demko, and boeser).

LineupVote: Who should be our centers?
1. Horvat
2. Pettersson
3. Sutter
4. Beagle
Gagner can play centre but there is already enough centremen so he can play RW on the third or fourth either next to sutter and beagle. I’m not sure about Guadeyte though tbh, i want to see him play but there would be now way beagle gets scratched all the time for that to happen and idk if he will be taking over sutter’s spot on the 3rd.
An idea would be to trade sutter and put gaudette in the third but most likely that won’t happen because of the NTC sutter has or whatever and his ‘veteran leadership and presence’

Replacing prospects into players their projected to become
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jassan28</b></div><div>I was having trouble with Boeser as I first compared him to the Sniper Sean Monahan as Boeser is also an accurate shooter. However, Monahan was a Center so that comparison was off. Then I saw that Wheeler also had a very accurate shot but barely ever used it. If Wheeler was a goal scoring winger rather than a playmaking one it'd make sense. However, I agree Tarasenko is a better comparison. In the end, Boeser will be a very unique player and one of his kind and I can't wait</div></div>
yeah im exited to see him play next year, especially on the powerplay with pettersson

i dont see boeser being like a wheeler. wheeler is more of a power forward that drives to the net and is more or a playmaker than boeser. Boeser has more of a shoot first instinct (but still good at passing dont get me wrong), but i think Tarasenko would be the better comparason.
