Can't even deny it. Fully healthy Norris is still worse than Konecny lol.

If that's all it took I'm sure any team that was/is looking to upgrade at goalie would beat that.

I wouldn't be opposed to NSH taking a flyer on Barron, but not for any of those three forwards. Other Preds fans might be more willing to give Glass away for whatever return, but I'd like to hold off on that decision for now.
No thanks on Harris.

Nashville passes. Weisblatt isnt better than any of our current choices at RW and isnt likely to surpass any of them so it would be a waste of resources to acquire him. (Wood, Kemell, Tomasino, Evangelista)

As a Preds fan, I'd prefer to keep Lauzon and move Schenn, if there's a taker for him. Can't complain about the return here though.

Pesce Lindholm and Depth
That's a significant overpay for Liljegren, and Robertson doesn't add much value. I'd rather see NSH re-sign Carrier, instead of giving up so much for a downgrade at the position.
If TOR wants to move Liljegren, NSH could do something based around Schenn instead.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OkMan</b></div><div>Yeah, Nashville will take that</div></div>
I figured. I think NSH would probably prefer to take less to get Mercer over Holtz, but I think that’s a non starter for the Devils. I think this deal would be fair for both sides

So, it's good for the fans hopes to keep your UFAs, but does anyone really think they can get to the 2nd round?</div></div>
You never know. If Saros get hot and team stay healthy. Yes why not?
Voted yes. Good signing. Novak have potential to be regular 50-60+ player.

Vancouver Canucks signed Elias Pettersson (8 Years / $11,600,000 AAV)
This is an excellent signing for the Canucks. Pettersson is the face of the franchise, and seeing him buy in for the next 8 years is super exciting. 11.6m is the perfect price for Petey, I am so excited to see this team in the coming years. Such a bright future in Vancouver, and they can now just focus on what lies ahead now that there is some certainty with their core.
Curious to see if the Canucks will be more trigger happy at the TDL now, obviously they already went out and got Lindholm, but now they know their budget for next year. This extension couldn't have come at a better time. So happy for Vancouver and the third Sedin brother

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes, it's not too friendly.
No Slafkovsky, no Reinbacher, no Montreal 2024 first, no incentive whatsoever to trade Trevor Zegras, who isn't on the market.
Cole Caufield and Trevor Zegras would make wonderful linemates. Maybe that's because they have such similar talents:
Zegras, first 180 games: 49 goals, 90 assists, 139 points, -39
Caulfield, first 180 games: 72 goals, 57 assists, 129 points, -39
I'm not saying that Z is "better" or more valuable than CC, but I am saying that CC isn't "better" or more valuable than Z.

fine trade him
There is a 0% chance that NSH does that. They may get a 2nd for Carrier.
Also, PIT can get more than a 3rd for Nedeljkovic, especially with retention, which EDM would likely need. He’s been outstanding at a great cap hit, so a bidding war very well may result in PIT getting a 2nd in return for him, but a 3rd+ is certain.

Saros at the Draft
I would consider this. However, what NSH needs is some who could be a top 1 or 2 centre. We have snippers like this guy already in our pipeline, Kemmel, Wood etc. We need play good maker centre. Thats why I think Mercer might be better even though he was a lower pick. Its why NJ doesn't what to give Mercer. However I would consider this. But Drop the 5th round winger and add another pick. Your 2025 2nd or Your 2025 1st with will be much lower if Saros is in your net.
If you gave both Mercer and Holtz NJ could keep there 1sts. Maybe though us one 3rd some year.

Appreciate the confidence in our playoff push.
I think half the reasoning for making Holtz available is the confidence that Gritsyuk can step right into lineup. Not sure we would move both…in same deal.

im starting to think this might happen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Maybe.
My guess...
1. Probably doesn't happen until Saros extension window opens July 1st (not only would NSH talk with him, but could allow other teams to as well)
2. So any picks would likely be 2025 picks.
3. Probably includes Holtz...the Brunette bond was strong with him
4. Probably not that big of overall package. Player, prospect, pick.</div></div>
This is the most reasonable/thoughtful response I've ever gotten from a Devils fan

Add a few decent pieces
NSH declines.
1. Local Nashville reporters are reporting that NSH is actively working to sign Novak now, so I doubt NSH is going to trade someone they see as a long term piece.
2. Novak would cost more than a late 2nd round pick. You are looking at a late 1st round pick for Novak.
