<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Some interesting, outside-the-usual-box thinking here. I commend you for your imagination.

Personally, I'd re-sign RFAs Max Jones and Isac Lundestrom, but Stenlund is a nice idea. (If not re-signed, the RFAs have some modest trade value.) I'm not a fan of the Fowler-Pageau part of the Zegras deal, though.

I wouldn't be willing to commit to Jackson LaCombe that long-term just yet.

Bottom line: I think that all of these ideas have some merit. I don't think any of them can be rejected out of hand as unrealistic.</div></div>

Also commend the creative thinking (another MTL Zegras trade for multiple late firsts is 🤮). That said, a few thoughts:

JPG will be expiring when ANA hits their compete window, that’s not attractive. Pulock is solid, but he’ll be 32/33 when we’re competing as well. If we move Z it really only makes sense to do so for a similarly aged player at a position of need should we draft Lindstrom (making a LW expendable). A 1st and 2nd is nice value, but ANA needs young impact players as they try to exit the rebuild. If feels like this hits the two ends of the spectrum (older vets and then picks) but not the sweet spot for ANA in the middle. A Dobson trade for Zegras+ if we draft Lindstrom would be great, but I don’t think NYI would be interested. All of this moot if we can just snag Levshunov. Zero issues with Zegras’ defensive efforts since he returned from injury, and our offensive woes are just as bad as our defense, and he’s our best and most creative producer on offense

Vaak was just scratched for the likes of a Lindstrom/Lageson pairing. Unlikely for a 2 year deal, but I personally like his game

Lacombe is not at all proven enough for $4.5M or that term. I personally think he should be a trade chip this offseason

I’m cool letting Jones go, Lunde is worth a 4C spot, but also okay letting him go as well

Personally prefer overpaying Stammer for 2 years vs tying up Rein for 7, but would still totally take it

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SimonVenell</b></div><div>He just put up 21 goals and 40 points as a rookie who missed a full year of development due to a heart condition. He played some of the year with good line mates and other parts of the year with not so good line mates. He is going to be a perennial 55+ point player for a long time. He's worth way more than what this offer has his value at.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JPM</b></div><div>Is Rossi that good? I wouldn’t do that trade for him. Laughton would probably be worth more at trade deadline, definitely was with the going price for centers.</div></div>

The health bit really cant be emphasized enough. He very well could have died through covid and then overcoming the mental aspects while youve been physically limited for so long.. I wouldnt wish that on anyone.

I'm a Sens fan but watch a lot of 67's game and the CHL cancelling the playoffs really took an opportunity away from Quinn and Rossi to showcase their talents on the biggest stage. Likely wouldve won the league and competed for a Memorial Cup. All that to say he's been dealt the short end of the stick consistently since he's been drafted and as much as Quinn is coveted by the Sabres and every trade involving him gets torn to shreds by Sabres fans, I think Rossi may still be better. Give him time to catch up on the missed development but i think he can do more than 55/season, very few players i root for more than him.

I know Zamula and Lauhgton are good pieces for Philly but this trade would be a steal.
