Lets make it 6
I don't see Florida investing $15+ million into 2 goaltenders. Sheary isn't worth a bag of pucks and Beagle's contract doesn't provide enough value on the ice.

Get Zucker GMJR
If V.Rask has to be included in any deal to acquire Zucker then I'm not interested in making a trade and would look elsewhere to do a transaction.

Best Kase scenario
Pens fan here and I have to agree. Galchenyuk isn't the piece to center a trade around. I also wouldn't be offering a dman who might succeed LeTang for an underachieving, often injured winger. I would personally just let both Shultz and Galchenyuk ride the season out n let them walk and find their replacement in free agency this summer. Especially with the list of UFAs that could be available. Plus we have to resign McCann, Kahun, Pettersson, Simon and one of either or both Murray and Jarry.

I think he would compliment 87 n 59 on a line together. He does bring that non-stop energy.

You are probably correct. I would like to give Tanev a shot with 87 just don't know if he has enough skill to play on that line.

Hello Fellow Hockey Fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MikeyThePensFan</b></div><div>Good point. I think this season the Penguins core can still handle it with the pieces that they have. Next season they’re going to need more support, but they’ve got a really solid group of young players. There’s Joseph & Addison on defence both projected to be special players. Up front they have Legare & Poulin. Not to mention guys that are already here like Dumoulin, Marino, Pettersson, Guentzel, Rust & McCann. That’s a strong core to build a team around for the post-Crosby era. Only thing I’d like is another franchise center. I hope they can win the 2022 draft and land Matthew Savoie. He’s projected to be a generational talent.</div></div>
I do to. I'm excited to see a fully healthy Pens team on the ice. The only realistic adjustments I think they should make are to find a Malkin a winger that can finish.

PIT-DRW
Athanasiou has only 5 goals and is a career -100, a has been goalie and a 2nd round pick from a team (WSH) that would essentially be a 3rd round pick for a 2x Cup winning goalie, a former 1st round pick (who also has scored 30 goals in a season and has multiple 20 goal seasons under his belt) plus a 1st round pick?

Prep for playoffs
Not a fan of Sheary. He has proven he is just a passenger. His stats were inflated playing with Crosby. In Buffalo, his true skill set has been exposed. I don't think he brings much to the table, especially for a second tour. If he was that good, Crosby would never allowed for him to be traded first time round. I think there's much better options to dump Galchenyuk, possibly with a pick or prospect to net a better return. A return that would last beyond this year instead of a cap dump.

Hello Fellow Hockey Fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MikeyThePensFan</b></div><div>The team you’ve put together looks like one that can win the Stanley Cup. But Poulin is a big part of the Penguins future. Part of the core after the Sid era. I would only trade him if it’s part of a package to bring an elite winger like Marner. Even with that, I’d be hesitant.</div></div>
I just made this as my opinion of who would fit within Sullivan's system and who would compliment who. This was only a fun, hypothetical thought.
I get Poulin is the future but prospects aren't guarantees and what's the point of having Poulin in 5 years time with a completely stripped team of it's stars when you could flip him for a player that could very well help win multiple championships? Getting guys that compliment star players are essential as time goes on. Every year Crosby will get a bit slower, regress skill wise and will need better flanks to help carry the workload. Why not acquire those pieces sooner than later if at all to help get the best out of him in the later stages of his career? Look at the improvement in Malkin's game since getting Guentzel. Malkin is back checking like a beast and playing a much better overall game because he doesn't have the pressure of having to carry his line.

With Pgh being in the "win now" window for what 3-5 more years, if you think Poulin will be able to contribute in the next year or two as much as Gallagher would now then I would gladly revert that trade.

Trade with PIT
Nice. Gives you a shutdown 3rd line center with some offensive upside with another year under contract and then can let Galchenyuk test free agency while opening some cap space to resign Nurse and Kassian.
