I don't think so. Lucic is owed only $1 million actual salary, as the rest was a signing bonus already paid. He does need to waive to make a trade happen so I could see him going to a team wanting to hit the cap floor.
I think Tre actually keeps Monny to see if he can bounce back, but someone will take a flyer on him even if just to recoup higher picks at the deadline.

I agree. That number I have him at is what we was rumoured to want from Dallas over an 8 yr deal just inflated as its a 7 yr term.

As a fan your not interested in Lucic. Hextall called Tre so there is interest. As your name is Pensfan and not Pensgm I will go with what the insiders are saying. Don't think it happens but it may. Not like Sid is going to deal with Wilson or now Revo.

If You are Gonna Go - Go Big
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DontTradeDougie</b></div><div>Sabres decline</div></div>
They want to decline. At the end of the day, if Eichel publicly asks for a trade and sits out, Buffalo is no longer in the drivers seat. Eichel's value starts to lower and now Buffalo loses value if that happens. Buffalo then has to make the best deal they can, but it likely will not be the value fans feel he is worth.
I wouldn't make this offer to Buffalo. For a couple of reasons. One Reinhart wants out so his value is limited unless a trade to a team closer to home which he is rumored to be want. Basically if he signs a one year in Buffalo teams can have him for free in a year. Eichel surgery is scary for the team that trades for him. I have an issue trading Tkachuk away unless the other team over pays. I see him as the C and heart and soul of this team after Gio is gone. Calgary is not good enough to challenge for a cup and the trade is a win now move to get some playoffs games (which Calgary ownership seems to have as a business model). For me its Monny, Johnnny and one1st's and a 2nd ( bumo up to another first if that's what it took) for Eichel and Reinhart. That would also give Buffalo TDL chips the next two seasons and two more potential first rounder's. Don't sell the future to continue to be mediocre. Look what's happening in the playoffs when your team is deep (Vegas), or you over pay a couple of players and handcuff your lineup balance (Edmonton). At the end of the day, Eichel after six years has not gotten the Sabers into the playoffs, that's a lot of money of zero playoff games and could also potential affect his value. I think Buffalo will have suitors that can pay way more than Calgary can so I don't see a Calgary Buffalo trade working unless Calgary over pays which would be a mistake in the long run.

YA I saw it. More treading water with the proposal. Until the Flames deal with the C depth (perhaps Monny rebounds) and they get players who play the the next level, the team stay mediocre and a playoff bubble team. I am not seeing a huge risk or much of a change in the line up you propsed.

The Leafs 1st round pick will be what? 24th at best? At pick 24 you're lucky to get a 3rd liner. Trading a top 6 center for that would be complete and utter stupidity.
Then adding that pick to downgrade our forward position (Reinhart is about on par with Monahan) and add a RHD with 1 year left on his contract that is often a liability and is worth a 2nd at best, is more garbage.
You don't post because your scared people will seek to trash your ideas out of retribution because your a bully behind a key board. I have yet to read an intelligent comment you've made on any of the proposals you comment on in this fourm.
Essentially you accomplish trading Gaudreau for Ristolainen. If you think that is a good idea, I don't have words to explain how wrong you are.
I didn't offer improvements because this **** needs to be tossed in a brown bag, lit on fire and left on your doorstep.</div></div>

regarding the post, i would be happy with a first for monahan but the situation likely leans towards a mid round pick and a young roster player with team control. gaudreau should stay in calgary in my opinion, i think that if he is moved out it will be right before the draft and will be a 1 for 1 similar to subban and weber due to the expansion draft and protection lists. i thnk reinhart is a great target but ristolainen is a non factor.</div></div>
Easy for Lunatik to criticize when you join and only post one ACGM roster in four years. Just a bully nothing more. I have no issue with people offering suggestion on improvements to my suggested trades. I just try set a fair value would be while not over valuing or under valuing my players and think would this be realistic from the other teams perspective.

I like what you have done been thinking of Huge and Reinhart as adds' on my own ACGM. Don't think it happens. I think you have the wrong player going to Seattle. I think Lucic ends up there with a pick added to make it happen. I only see Gio moving at the TDL of his final year if Calgary is not in the playoffs.

When he went on wavers the Oilers didn't have the cap space, so I do not agree with your assessment. Not saying the proposed trade happens, but the Hass goes to make room and Calgary retaining salary allows the deal to happen at the TDL.

And if i'm Calgary I really think about it. I would rather have Eichel at 10m then Chuky at 9m. And you're giving up a few extra pieces but you're not selling the farm.
But monahan + zary+ 1st + bennett is definitely a better deal from the flames perspective.</div></div>
For the Flames, you have to look at the proposal long term. If we lose Chucky think we stay mediocre. Eichel needs good players to play with and that needs to be Chucky. Johnny says he wants to stay in YYC but what else is he going to say. I think he moves on after this deal. SO we have to look at losing Monahan, Chucky and possible Johnny. That's not a great future. I could see Manahan, one of Zary/Pelletier, 1st and either Dube/Mangiapane for Eichel. I would even add a second to get it done. If you get him you have to over pay and keep Chucky at the same time.

trading mika and preparing for the future part 1
I can't see Deangelo playing in the league in the near future until he deals with his issues. NYR are going to be stuck with him. Just because a Rangers sports writer suggests there is a possible trade doesn't make it realistic. Remember, Calgary already had a racist coach, why do they want a racist player head ache? Calgary also had to deal with the Wideman on ice official issue. So again , why take on a player who has had more than one on ice issue with officials and deal with extra phantom penalty calls?

I don't think Chucky is involved in a trade for Eichel. Would love to get him but not what you propose. I could see ditching the Det and Bos trade and adding in Monahan and Bennett while removing Chucky to get Eichel as more realistic.

Not saying he forgot how to play hockey. He's a problem, and your trade proposal to dump your problem in Calgary is lacking with what you have asked for back. I still do not see Calgary taking on a player that has made racist remarks, when Calgary had a coach that did this. Why would they want Deangelo? Furthermore, why does Calgary want him when he has issues with official abuse, when Calgary has dealt with that in the past with Wideman? The trade you proposed, is lacking value to take those issues on. I would be surprised that Deangelo gets back into the league without some sensitivity training and ongoing counselling.
