Have to make the playoffs
Here’s the thing if you’re an Oiler fan, do you want to make the playoffs? It’s fun and all, but that buys the GM another season if not 2. Is potentially another couple years of him making strange moves worth a couple fun weeks of hockey?

Very even trades and definitely helps both teams IMO. But I'd say Kassian should also be dealt out. Can barely handle the puck for more than a second and quite overpaid. Gambardella can also bring the same grit to the table with some more skill and cheaper contract. Also, I'd wanna give Talbot another chance but if he absolutely has to leave, this return is very good.

This looks awesome!
Each trade is fair, makes 2 way sense.
Love 2 see Ericksson on McJesus's right side.
If Phi is willing to lose Elliot, all good..-~
Very well done..-~

Philly says yes. Talbot is an iron man who can play 60+ games. May just need a change of scenery too.

Hitchcock oilers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Otter</b></div><div>Flyers need a goalie and talbot would be one of the best available right now. They are also looking for toughness and to be mean lucic is the best at that. He looks like a flyer. Jj also gives that toughness. Maybe we might not get the picks but for flyers they are looking to get back to a meaner team. Just an opinion</div></div>
I guess but Lucic has negative value, Talbot has a sub 900 sv% there's not really an upgrade on Elliott. JJ is a fringe guy. Konecny is playing on the first line

just putting in players to a trade and picks does not make a good trade. thin of other teams needs</div></div>
Not sure what the trade was before as he said he changed it. The way it is now. Canes accept.

I am not sure about the trade, but it seems like you got the right idea for Edmonton trading for Faulk. Chia said he needed an offensive right shot Dman and Faulk seems like a good fit.

Pens to be best in the east
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pgh412</b></div><div>Kessel will "man the **** up" and put up 92+ points again this year. I don't care if he never talks to the media again (though I do love his awkward quirky interviews). He's not obligated to give this terrible media group anything (minus a few, like Yohe/Mackey).</div></div>
But he is obligated. You act like the media is out to get him? Why would they be? and how does it help them? Antonio Brown is the biggest asshole in prefessional sports, and the Pittsburgh media doesn't say a single bad word about him. Just be a professional and let the media do their job.

I know Kessel is a good player but it's the piece they'll have to move to fit Guentzel and be under the cap. With the addition of Sprong and the rising of Rust the right side might be set for a while. I think after Guentzel the left side is weak it could get an upgrade. Carl Hagelin is not bad but he more of a 3rd line winger. The addition of Pacioretty and Shaw could bring down the age average with less cap hit and similar team results.

Yea well, Kessel needs to man the **** up and be a professional. Speaking to the media is part of his contract/part of the CBA. Grow up, be an adult and give the media real answers. 99% of the other NHL players don't ***** about it, why does Kessel get to act like a child about it?
