Thread: oily oily
the first few RFA deals I completely see happening, but the Bertuzzi Offer Sheet- Detroit would easily match, so you'd be better off trying to trade for him, and he would likely fetch a ready to take the next step chance prospect like Lagesson and a mid pick to acquire him, if not better than Lagesson... Also, like the idea of bribing Seattle to take the Neal contract off the books, but I also don't think they'd look to get a mid pick back like a 3 RD pick in return, remember Seattle needs to get to the floor and Neal has gone through the expansion process before... The Free Agent signings are too cheap, Getzlaf won't leave California unless it's for Vegas, and you'd have to entice him with at least $4m for 2 or more years, but money isn't the be all for him anymore. Ullmark will get more than $4m per season, whether it's with Buffalo or elsewhere, I like him as the Oilers target, but they're gonna have to offer him 4+ years at $4m+ per season to land him. Smith deserves a raise from his performance last season, I can see him signing the $2.5m deal he had the 1st year in Edmonton, with incentives that can get him up to $3.5->$4m based on starts. And coming off back to back cups where he was integral for the 3rd line in Tampa, Coleman will seek a hefty raise, he can play in every situation, he'll likely command $3.5m+ for min 3 years, I don't think he'd be the right fit for Edmonton, they need more scoring/top 6 wingers, not middle of the lineup Wingers, they have enough of those already... Don't think they'll be giving up on Rodrique that quick either, would venture a guess that should Skinner not be able to be the 3rd goalie this year, meaning given spot starts here and there, that he doesn't allow 4 goals every time and easy ones at that, that Olivier would surpass him on the depth chart at that point...
