Hughes brothers demand to play together after Lake is drafted
Jim has three sons, Quintin, Jack and Luke. There is no Lake Hughes, unless you are referring to an actual lake that New Jersey has renamed after Jack signs with the club :D :D :D

Kings 19-20
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PegLeg</b></div><div>I don't think Canes even want Carter, much less in return for 2 3rds.
Supposedly a team in the top 10 wants Spencer Knight
Also this is totally blowing it up. Without Quick feels like this group would win 20 games. If they are complete trash, do Doughty/Kopitar/Brown ask out?</div></div>
1) I meant to trade Carter for just a 3rd.
2) If that's the case I named other options at 22.
3) I want lafreniere. I understand it's a lottery (Which f'ed us this year) But hopefully next year the Hockey gods will help haha
Also Doughty,Kopi and Brown all said they want to be here and all there Wife's/Girlfriends all love LA and I don't think if we tank for one year and trade contracts for younger prospects or picks will benefit us for the longer run.

Vegas fans read description
Slightly different circumstances though obviously.
-He's an RFA
-He was given a chance by Vegas and probably wants to stay there more than Hayes wanted to sign in Philly originally.
-Vegas has no state and city tax.
- Vegas has a everything going for them. Good team. Growing fanbase. Nice weather. etc etc
If I'm Karlsson I would gladly take a pay cut to stay. 7M is still 7M.

Why on Earth would we ever trade Bozak to get back Sobotka? Hell to the no.

Bring him home
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PegLeg</b></div><div>I like it. With all of the forward upgrades Vegas has made i think the loss of Smith is bearable, especially as Tuch/Glass continue to improve. Only problem would be just losing Krug next offseason for nothing. Vegas is super tight on the cap, and Krug will probably want a raise. Don't think VGK would pay more than $7M ish</div></div>
they could but the bright side is that buy's them a year to see if Schuldts a solution .
if not i see them moving out a guy like Mcnabb to dump a Haula so they can re-sign Krug to 2-3 year deal
Krugs better off staying with VGK and getting more money over less time as long term deals in the cap era see guys forced out to clear cap . a Guy like Alzner coulda easily played on a half dozen NHL teams as a bottom pair Hits/BS leader but his cap and term screw teams to hard to let him even though he's capable .
VGK is flashy enough to possibly wooo Krug into a 3 year commitment to win a cup

Keep Ehlers FFS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PegLeg</b></div><div>Is this really the time to give Laine his mega deal? Coming off of his worst season by far. Might as well get him on a bridge deal for 2-3 years if you are gonna end up paying him $8mil plus anyways.
This also leaves no room for Josh Morrissey's deal next year. Jets are super screwed if he's gone. Smarter to save the Tyler Meyers money for him imo.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arafay</b></div><div>I think myers could get 6X6 on the open market. Considering he likes WPG, I would say you could maybe drop an additional year? But other than that, that's the best we can do. Niku-Myers would be miserable in the D-zone. Swap Beaulieu and Niku.
I do not think Roslovic is ready for Laine and the tougher competition all at once. Keep little as 2C with vesalainen on his LW and Ehlers on the right. While copp can mentor him in a 3C and can cover up for Laine's mistakes. Lowry with Lindholm and Appleton rounds it out.
I also think that bridging Laine is the way to go</div></div>
Both very fair points. Bridging Laine might actually help both sides considering the Jets cap situation.
