ZAR headed to ANA for rakell

He had his best season playing with a slow getzlaf and Henrique. His potential is huge with Sid and geno

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HillbillyPenguin88</b></div><div>This is a steal! GMJR would've gave up Poulin and 2 firsts</div></div>
Ya that would’ve been disastrous. Another plus I see here is the pens have a fall back option if they can’t lock up rust. Obviously he should be priority one over rakell but it’s possible they can get both if they get zucker or petterssons contract off

Marino is being talked about for guys like Boeser/garland, even miller. There isn’t much in Montreal the pens could use in the short term to help them win a cup for Marino. Like someone else said ^ the pens would ask for Caufield which Montreal wouldn’t bite on either

Radulov would not be a good idea especially beside geno. He’s slow and doesn’t back check and produces little on offence now. Garland or bertuzzi should be their main targets

Okok. The problem with kapanen is after one thing goes wrong he seems to completely deflate. People say sully isn’t giving him any chances when he’s played with Sid and repeatedly with geno. The talent is there but he’s hit a wall

I’d rather have zucker over kapanen because even if zuck isn’t finishing he’s back checking and doing the dirty work to make more space for malkin

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>Yeah well the difference was he was younger and had more potential a few years ago. Now he’s a healthy scratch on the Penguins roster</div></div>
Ya no doubt it’d be a mistake. I don’t think they’d budge on Marino for one of boeser or garland. You never know tho

What also needs to be kept in mind is that Rutherford gave up a first for kapanen. Albeit it was a few years ago, but both him and Allvin like kapanen a fair amount

Servalli reports letangs potential ask
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pain</b></div><div>Wouldn’t you want Boeser?</div></div>
The pens faithful has been flip flopping between the two and both would help in a major way. But boeser’s QO is scary. Pens wouldn’t be able to afford bringing some guys back including rust which would create another hole they’d have to fill. With Garland he essentially takes Marinos contract and they don’t have to sacrifice any of their UFAs. To keep boeser they’d have to make moves to get rid of zucker and/or one of Matheson or petty

It’s either that or 7mx4 or 5 years. I honestly think the pens are better off with this ^ deal because by 2025 does it really matter what he’s making? They’ll more than likely be rebuilding and for the next year or 2 he’s an important piece

They shouldn’t even be considered. Crosby and malkin aren’t the problem. Letang has been inconsistent but at the top of his game he’s incredible. Their glaring weakness is middle 6 production so dealing kapanen/poulin/legare/poj should be available to get someone like rakell
