Come on PIT make a trade already
Casey Mittelstadt is a failed prospect. Montour is bad. Dumoulin, if healthy, is kinda good. Ceci is a cheap 6/7th defenseman.

honestly these are about the values I'd expect to see the penguins offer.
We'll know more when we see what's up with the injuries.
Trade keys have been taken away. Don't expect any major moves.
Teams looking for over payments good luck you won't find it here.
I don't think the temp GM has much leverage to make deals to begin with.
It's clear all in an all costs show is over. This team has hit the turning point. Even if they are still winning. They can see the end of the road and they realize it's time to change lanes.

Zucker-Crosby-Kapanen
Guentzel-Malkin-Rust
McCann-Jankowski-Tanev
O'Connor-Blueger-Sceviour
(ZAR will also be back soon, wonder what they do then)

I could see Carolina getting involved due to expansion draft rules. Both Fleury and Bean are possible expansion draft targets. I could see either of them dealt to Pittsburgh.

Don Cherry said the secret of coaching was. " You have 24 players on the team. 8 of them hate your guts, 8 of of them love you and will do anything you ask without question, and the other 8 are unsure of their feelings towards you. Your job as coach is to keep the 8 "unsure" away from the 8 that hate your guts".
You are correct, on any team there are unhappy players....either with their coach or the GM. But once the season starts....it's all about the hockey.

I don’t see Pittsburgh as a viable candidate. Columbus needs high end potential offensive players. Columbus only moves him for futures (which Pittsburgh doesn’t have) if they decide to rebuild post 21-22

Happy new year
In this crazy year we've been through I've spent hours and hours on here on CF. Talking about hockey in march, april, may, june, july, august, september, october, november and december has helped me get through this awful year. Like I can't stress enough how much I've enjoyed talking, debating and rambling about hockey for the past 9 months.
Right now and until Jan 14 I'm banned from posting in AGM but I can't wait to do it again starting in just 2 weeks.
As for 2021, may we get some great hockey and let's get rid of Jack Johnson. . . oh wait, I meant to say let's get rid of this covid thing by december 31st 2021
So see yall in 2021!!!!

Should the Pens trade for Jack Roslovic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PGHBOB69</b></div><div>Jets won’t do that deal. And I hate to give up Lafferty. He our only Roght-Handed stick that takes Face-offs. And is good at them too.
I think it would be more like Riikola(who id hate giving up too), and a “C”, “C+”prospect like Gruden or Bjorkqvist. Although, I don’t think they will trade Gruden without playing one game in the organization. And a mid round pick. 5th round
So Riikola, Bjorkqvist and a 5th.
Or
Rikkola, Czuczman, Bjorkqvist(gives them NHL level defensive depth).
It has to come with a contract agreement from Roslovic that would be under 2M IMO. Or it wouldn’t be worth it for the Pens. Paying him over 2M would be an overpayment for me. I would rather Janko at 700k IMO. Roslovic at 1.75M/ 3 years is worth it IMO
And I hate people putting McCann back atCenter. JR and Sully are right. We found out last year. He’s a wing. He’s a scorer. A good two-way wing. Let him play wing and just score 20 plus goals a year. Not have to play Center and worry about carrying a line and play-making for his line-mates. Just stick him on the LW and let him snipe. What he’s good at!!
Don’t rush Poulin. Give him and Legare one more year. Let’s see what Janko and E-Rod can do. Both have a decent pedigree. E-rod was a top college wing on Eichel’s right-side. He had 21 goals and 60 points in 41 games on Eichel’s RW( 2nd in the NCAA in points, behind only Eichel) And never got an opportunity after that. I’m excited to see him get his shot.
I’m hoping Maniscalco wins that 3rd pairing RHD with Matheson more than any other rookie wining a roster spot. Or Legare wins the 3rd line RW spot.</div></div>
And Erod's playdriving statistics & defensive impacts were really good during his 1st two seasons with Buffalo. He's definitely an NHL quality talent, just needs to be given a chance by the coaching staff. The real question mark is Jankowski. You'd usually want a more proven 3C.

I've been trading for Roslovic for 2-3 yrs now & I'm a big fan of his, so I would love it !!
Its also a kind of Trade GMJR likes to make to trade for a former 1st Rdr that hasn't lived up to his potential yet.
IMO, Roslovic would be a 3C here, just never got a chance at Center much in WPG w/ Copp & Lowry there.

Poulin is an “A” prospect.
I agree Legare, O’Connor and Maniscalco are all “B-“ prospect. Legare might be a “B” b/c of his NHL level shot.
I would put Blomqvist, Clang, Lee, Lafferty all at “C+”. I would have Angello, Gruden, Bjorkqvist, Almeida, Svejkovsky, Caulfield(both Svejkovsky and Caulfield were invited to the WJ try-outs for team USA. Both were one of 38 players invited; they are young, a long way to go, but both have NHL potential. Just being invited to the WJ try-outs means something) all at “C” prospects.
The biggest error IMO is Puustinen. He’s a top 6 potential. He’s another “B-“, “C+” prospect. He’s a top 6 or bust type of prospect. A scoring winger. Killing it in Liiga, against men. He’s a little, 5’9, 5’10, scoring winger. Like I said, a top 6 player or bust.

Copy and paste these articles and read up on him alittle more. The 2nd article has him as our 3rd best prospect.
I would rank the Pens prospects, Poulin, PO-Joseph, Legare, Maniscalco, O’Connor, Puustinen, C.Lee, Blomqvist, Clang, Bjorkqvist, J.Caulfield, Svejkovsky, Gruden, J.Almeida, Bellerive, Zohorna.
Lafferty and Angello are graduated from prospect to NHL players, bottom 6 players. Both good two-way players that can chip in scoring some.
I don’t have much faith at all in Reilly, Phillips, Almari. I think all 3 are career AHL d-men. NHL depth, injury call-ups at best.
I do like E.Larmi though. I would put him as a “C”, “C-“ prospect. I think he’s a future NHL back-up. Or AHL stater, 3rd goalie in the organization type at worst.
Puustinen is way too low though. If he makes the NHL. He’ll be a top 6 winger and Be a 2nd PP player.</div></div>

Here’s another article/list that has him right behind Maniscalco and ahead of Blomqvist, Bjorkqvist and Clang. Lafferty is 25 years old, and not on this List. But Puustinen would still be ahead of Lafferty too IMO.
Again: I’d go;
Poulin “A”
PO-Joseph “A-“(a top 100 prospect on any list out there)
Legare “B”
OConnor, Maniscalco, Puustinen “B-“
Blomqvist, Clang, C.Lee, Lafferty “C+”
Bjorkqvist, Angello, Svejkovsky, C.Caulfield, Almeida, E.Larmi, Bellerive, S.Miletic, R.Zohorna “C”
Anything less than that would be a “C-“ or a “D”. Very doubtful NHL future.

Malkin would easily be MTL's top line center. The guy was on pace for 109 points in 82 games last season.
