As a Canucks fan it would be nice deal to get a good dman. The only problem would be that they are giving up their top line winger

Understandable. I think the Canucks are stuck with him tbh

Big changes for next year
Do not hand that much term to Edler. Also why are you giving a second in the Anaheim trade? They have same term and almost same cap hits

No way trading Hoglander for Jokiharju. Plus Pettersson and Hughes are not taking those bridge deals. More than likely they will want Barzal deals

Leafs would be dumb to do that Holtby trade.... plus they are moving salary the other way in any trade they make.

More than likely the 2021 pick will be a lottery pick

Schmidt and Carter
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>In the Dillon idea, above, I was clearing space for Schmidt's return. A Van fan this morning offered him for Vrana, so I think we're still pretty far apart. I don't know. Is Vrana better than Matheson? :)
Some LA fan posted Jensen, Vanecek, and Hathaway for Athanasiou last week, and another posted Hagelin and a 2nd for Carter this week. I was kind of posting where I think Vanecek's value to the Caps might be right now, given that he's started more than half of their games, and won more than half of those. Not trying to scare away offers, but also not trying to guess he's very available, either.</div></div>
Love the sarcasm. Vrana easily better

Next Year
Likely Pettersson and Hughes do Barzal deals, 7 mil x 3 years. Got the right idea with Hamilton but Canucks should be looking for a defensive dman like David Savard. Savard would also be more affordable

2022 - Depth Getzlaf
The only deadline trade where you get a second is Pearson. Also highly doubt Ryan Getzlaf is leaving Anaheim, and if he does he is going to a Cup contender, not the Canucks
