cause everybody in TML will get 2M more then they should within NHL contracts logic, just so they will be in "Cap hell"

Yep. Rosen's currently 4th in points, 7th in shots, and in a big tie for 16th in plus/minus among AHL defensemen. Until they start tracking hits or corsi down there, that's the best data you can go by. He probably plays in the NHL next year.
Not much to add on "Holl appears to look like an NHL player." :)

So Nylander is a top 5 RWer I guess. Guys like wheeler kessel etc are older so they have way less value in my opinion.
Heiskanen looks to be a solid D man. And in my opinion it is a fair trade. Miro has loads of upside as does Willy. Both proven elite talent. W/C for D. And of course most fans don’t like the idea trading a top Dman but I don’t like the idea of trading a Top F either.

Nylander for Hesk
Regardless of the return, and clearly Dallas had opportunities to get pretty good players (maybe Karlson, Patches, etc.) at one point or another this offseason, I'd expect Miro stays put.

Leafs Year 2 with Jake and Nylander
This is probably the most reasonable post I've seen concerning the leafs in a while. It's going to be a real challenge to get everybody signed for what they feel they're worth ad still have it fit under the cap.

A one year deal while he is young is okay but the leafs will have more cap one year from then so it would be smart for one of the young players to sign a 1 year deal

What would be the best for this team now and in the future
I like the Jets trade, and honestly who cares if he resigns. Likely he won't be resigned which would lower the price we are willing to give up to get him. In all honestly, I believe no other moves are made until closer to the deadline. Just wait and see how this lineup plays. I would trade Gardiner for anything at anytime though. Not because I think poorly of him, I think he's very valuable with some faults. The reason why I trade him is because he won't be resigned and I don't like losing a player for nothing. Trade him for 2 seconds or a prospect or two. Dermott can move up and I bet one of Rosen or Borgman is ready for full time action on the blue line.

That Anaheim trade is very good. I dont think Nylander gets traded but I like that you give Anaheim back some defender they can use. And dont take Larsson back, we have ton of LHDs in the organization. Get a forward from them. Otherwise very good trade.

I get that, but as I mentioned we really don't need to package Ennis in a trade to dump his salary (it would be very unwise). Brown and Timashov are decent prospects but neither of them really jump out at me.

Do as little movement as possible and secure big3s contracts in this offseason.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OshietheBeast</b></div><div>Yeah, well I watched Spezza last season ans his passing is nothing compared to the dishes that Nylander gives. I'd put the kids on the first Marner-Matthews-Nylander. But that's just me ?.</div></div>
Of course its nothing to compare. Generally comparing Nylander to Spezza is dumb, because of how much Nylander is better. I like the idea of that Marner-Matthews-Nylander PP line. I was just trying to find some place to get the best out of Spezza if we have that contract. I dont want him to be stucked on 4th line and playing 8 minutes a game. If he is able to get something between 16/17 and 17/18 season (around 35-40 pts) while playing 11-12 minutes a night (he would have better players around him than in DAL) then I would be very happy.

Spezza on PP1 is to increase Matthews' scoring. Spezza is great passer, has great vision and would find teammates. The thing why he would not be playing so many minutes 5on5 is his speed which is lacking and they can use Nylander as 3C and put either of Grundstrom or Kappy to play with Hyman-Nylander duo while Spezza would be resting a bit and that would bump Kappy/Grundstroms ice times. Spezza could play 11-12 minutes a game and still be effective if given right opportunities.

Ryan Ellis and 3C
Considering how close Ryan Ellis is to free agency, unless that deal came with an extension in hand, there would be no conversation to get things started. I honestly don't think the Leafs and Predators match up too well on the trade front. If the Preds wanted Nylander, the asking price would probably start with Mattias Ekholm, but he's a left-hander, which would block Travis Dermott, unless Jake Gardiner is either included in the deal, or moved somewhere else. Just based on the numbers, I think the Leafs have a better chance, and a much more affordable opportunity to sign Ellis as a UFA after this season, since it would only cost them money and no players.
As well, I would think Derek Ryan is looking for more money, and Riley Nash, on the defensive end, might be the better investment at 3C.

I might be in the minority on this...but I'm not a huge Ryan Ellis fan....just my personal opinion tho...I know a few leaf fans on here would love to snag him
I'd sniff around if he hits UFA, for sure tho.
I'm also on board to move Nylander out as part of a package for a top pairing RHD

Absolutely not. And considering how much time Dominic Moore spent in the press box, I doubt there is mutual interest from team and player to bring him back. If the Leafs were trading with Carolina, I'd think they'd try to acquire Nicholas Roy as part of any deal to take over 4C duties.

That is an insane trade! Pastrnak was picked 25th overall. You don't trade 1st round picks unless you need 1 piece to get yourself over the top, or you're picking up a guy under 22 who has proven to be a game changer.
Also Faulk isn't that good, the guy has been a trade target since he joined the league because he isn't that good.

Also the Leafs don't need scoring, they have lots of it. And before you give me the whole, we are losing JVR and Bozak, I'll counter with year 3 for Marner, Matthews, Nylander, Hyman and Brown. Not to mention the opportunity for Johnsson, Kapanen and Leivo to have full season in the NHL. We'll score goals. Skinner would cost affordable pieces and not really improve the team that much.
Just be patient Leaf fans, build from within and take a deep breath.

If he stays the same and wants to sign for 5 and 5, that’d be a great deal for the Leafs. His current level of play likely puts him at $6m tho.

defence
Faulk was no better than top 4 for Canes but for some reason he is a top Dman for the Leafs. Of course any RHD seems to be a HOFer if he comes to the Leafs. Gardiner and Hainsey have just one year left and the Leafs will have a revamped defence in 2019/20.
