Bichsel is NHL ready as we speak, but there is no spot right now as well as no Cap Space to bring him up.

LOL, both are equally bad. And unless Suter has a mistress in Chicago, he will never waive his NMC for any teams. Why would he? He is salvaging the remaining of his career by playing top D pair minutes with our Franchise D every game.

He is in an organization more interested in helping him in his last years, than giving one of the best player this team ever had the partner he needs to reach his ceiling.

I disagree and I would never pull the trigger on that trade, but it’s not the end of the world.

Miro is probably a Top 5 D in the world. That is, if you are not looking only at goals and points. Miro also, does not have the luxury of playing on his strong side and with a partner of the quality of Toews.

In other words and IMO, this trade proposal favors Edmonton.

Bourque, Stankoven and Bichsel are going nowhere and I doubt we would take a player with term on his contract.

LOL. You can stop this back and forth for the value of Monahan in this trade scenario. The Stars will need a Top 4 D at the deadline, not another forward.

We are loaded at the forward position and have Bourque and Stankoven playing very good in the AHL.

At the D position, it's another story.

You cannot buy out Faksa during the season. This will have to wait for the next buy out window in the next off season.

If we would get Dumba it would be to remove Hakanpaa from the lineup, not Harley. Harley is our 2nd best D right now!

I know that Freidman said that Kane and Dallas could work, but we don't need Kane. Especially with Stankoven and Bourque rising very fast in the AHL.

We need a RD like Tanev.

Also, your scenario does not work at all:

- Suter cannot be bought out and you cannot trade him since he has a full NMC
- Nobody takes Marchment witht that contract unless he starts to produce or unless you give nice assets in the trade
- Nobody will sign Kane for a 3 years deal at his age and after surgery. Hell, a fully healthy and younger Duchene only got a one year deal at 3M$ as a UFA.

That’s a better roster for sure, especially on defense.

But I would keep Smith instead of Bonino.

Also, I don’t think Carolina would accept that package. You would need to give them a better prospect and I doubt they would take Hakanpaa back. They let him go to free agency specifically because of the same reasons a lot of Stars’ fans wants to trade him. He is slow, no foot speed, cannot exit the zone with possession, poor stick handling skills. He is only serviceable during the PK.

For sure it’s a big no from Dallas because of the unbalanced value and also because it doesn’t address a need for us.

We will need sooner than later a true Top 4 defenseman if we are really serious about getting a Cup. David Savard is not a Top 4 D for a true contending team.

The only way Nill would have admitted the mistake was through a buy out of Suter last summer. The fact that he didn’t demonstrate that he believes the stuff he said.

Now, only after 3 games, the continuous decline of Suter is in full force. As stated in other post, the only way to get rid of him this season would be through healthy scratch. Good luck with that considering the Ego of the man.

And the only way to fit another D to play Top 4 minutes will come with a trade of either Faksa or Marchment because we don’t have the space.

Nill is a very good GM. But that doesn’t mean he cannot make mistakes.
