hello! friendly neighborhood mod here (though i haven't been around the neighborhood much for a while; life, work, mental health issues, and the like have gotten in the way).
quick reminder, from the Forums Rules, "Removal of Posts" section:
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quote:</div>Posts that are sexist, racist, ethnic, gender related, homophobic, malicious, illegal, or in any way discriminatory or hurtful to anyone will not be tolerated. not that anybody is currently in trouble, but it's worth re-establishing for newer forum users, especially on a thread as likely to be a hot-button topic as this is.
that'll be all from me; carry on.

Less pressure to perform by signing him before the start of the season. Could be a good idea for his development

I recall the Detroit/Vegas trade. 😁 Tatar to Vegas for a 1st, 2nd a 3rd.

Wouldn’t you say it’s a better bet to give a young player who’s entering his prime 5 mill than declining vets like Palmieri , Bailey, and Pageau?</div></div>
I'd rather bridge him $2-2.5m for 2/3 years and save the cap space for additional guys

Tough move tho</div></div>
I don’t see Stone playing at Robertson’s level much longer. Maybe even asa this year. Agree all day long on Stephenson over Faksa. Stephenson is so sneaky good. I think it’s too soon to say Hague > Harley. Harley has all the tools to be an amazing two way defenseman. And thanks to Nill adding Nils, he doesn’t HAVE TO show up this year. Benn, Segs, and Suter aren’t getting any younger. You’re not wrong. But Benn and Suter are off the books in three years when our top prospects should be coming into their primes. Everything Nill has done this offseason makes me think they’re looking to stay competitive now while setting up for three years from now. Benn, Lindell, Faksa, Suter… 22 million coming off the books. Which is why they bridged Oetter and were wanting to bridge Robertson

Actually Freidman has reported that the projection for 24-25 is $88-89 million.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Poehling</b></div><div>Yes Mayfield could get more, depending like you said if he gets offered more. I didn’t lowballed him so he might take that
Allen just got 2 years 3.85M so I can’t see Varlamov taking 2.5M only
That’s why I went for a proven solid back up goaltender in Vladar. I think CGY could move him for help on the top 9 and make Wolf the back up, he looks ready</div></div>
It's all realistic, obviously we are a year ahead of time and for all we know Mayfield and Varly are traded at the deadline.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Poehling</b></div><div>Who will play too 6 between Coleman and Dube in your opinion ?</div></div>
Dube. Also a decent chance one of Zary or Pelletier gets the call up in the end. Zary had an excellent camp. They could also still do a trade, Flames still have far too many defensemen in camp, all playing relatively well to great

Soderblom is ahead of where anyone thought he was but his skating still needs work. I have no problems with Chiarot he's a big physical defenseman and should work out well paired with Seider.

Habs Opening Night Prediction
Team Explanation
Atleast 1 of Hoffman, Dadanov, Armia or Drouin need to be moved within the first couple months of the season, you cant be paying every winger not on ELC 3.5+
And you think playing Dadanov play 3rd line minutes and Drouin 4th line minutes is going to help make this happen?
Drouin and Dadanov NEED to play top 6 min. in order to showcase them...they're the low hanging fruit for a trade (expiring contracts with the ability for MTL to retain half for each)

Fair deal. We’re now extending him to be a starter for a few years, so he’ll need to make starter money. And the term is nicely tailored to the team’s goalie prospect development.

I just quickly looked it up on google. Says the ohl is a 16-21 league so I’d think if Mysak doesn’t crack Laval he’s just go back to Hamilton again.
