if you cant beat em make an ACGM for Timo Meier
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rktkt66</b></div><div>Dealing Fleury's cap hit won't help Tampa's financial issues - I wonder if it makes more sense (which Adams has attested he's willing to do, given their cap surplus at the moment) if the Sabres could land Fleury as the "sweetener" for taking on a cap dump like Kilhorn (pending UFA with $4.45M left this season) or even Seabrook's LTIR deal ($6.875M) that has another year left on it after this one. Neither will impact Buffalo's cap before the eventual extensions for Dahlin and Power come into play. Fleury would be an upgrade over Bryson (losing only 1 year age difference in the exchange but gaining another year of contract term) and at same time provides insurance at the 3LHD for next season alongside Lyubushkin in case Johnson isn't signed.
Say a 2023 4th rounder for Fleury and Seabrook. Sabres can then consider dealing Bryson for a comparable 4th or 5th to a team needing defensive depth.</div></div>
Killorn is the furthest thing from a cap dump. the only "cap dump" is Namestnikov and even then its a stretch.

Bryson is an interesting option for Tampa. He is cost controlled for next year as well, and a RFA at the end of his contract. Can he play the right side or is he more comfortable on his right? dont know if Buffalo would be willing to take someone like Namestnikov back to make the cap work

Someone told Friedman Tampa takes a run at Horvat
I would be very hesitant to make a move for Horvat, just because of what it would cost. He would be an amazing addition but at what cost is it worth it for us. especially if we have to give up more future picks and our top prospect

Small depth adds
Elliott is fine as a back-up, no need to waste a decent pick for a non upgrade. As for Gavrikov, yes its an upgrade but rather use Foote+ for a RHD or a young bottom 6 winger.

Perry probably will get a similar contract to what he has now. Pass on Bjugstad, rather pay for Glendening and keeping Colton

Tampa probably passes. Value is fine, but i dont think they will want to give up so much on 1 player that doesnt fill an immediate need

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsbeathabs</b></div><div>Jonathan (I got 1 goal this calendar year and don't know what the defensive end of the ice is) Drouin really ?</div></div>
there is actually quite a few Tampa fans that would take him back on a cheap contract for the 3rd line and to QB the 2nd PP unit. he would add more skill to our lineup and if it doesnt work, it would be 1m for a year. its not like we dont have another useless player making 1m on the roster now

PEB has played every game this season and Foote has been injured the last 4 games. yes Foote is expendable but he wouldn't be given up for free.

they can dump Myers somewhere and send Fleury and Balcers down, they would have like 100k in cap space
