Tampa passes. JBB should not be giving up Gauthier or any of our top prospects unless its for Hanifin (even then i would be very hesitant)

Based On Hanifin Rumors
JBB should not give up 2 of his top 3 prospects along with a cheap Dman thats signed next year as well for Hanifin. the most i would give up is a 1st, 2nd, and Howard and thats only if Hanifin was signed to an extension under 6.5m

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Lizotte is likely unavailable, the Kings won't move Kaliyev at the deadline unless it gives them some depth for the playoffs.
Something like Kaliyev for a 2025 - 2nd + De Haan.
If that isn't feasible, the Kings are good at staying pat, they are down Kempe and Arvidsson and need goal scoring.</div></div>
I would be open to Kaliyev more, maybe a lesser pick but a better player. Maybe even something around Perbix+ for Kaliyev and Roy

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kuuuuuuuch</b></div><div>Not moving on from Cirelli. Gauthier I don't think will be ready for the NHL in quite a bit and he probably won't be as good as Maccelli. Macceli provides us help now which we need.</div></div>
Cirelli is too overpaid for what he gives us. Hes been a little above average lately but he cant be consistent enough. we paid him for his Selke level defense and hes been everything but that the last 2-3 years. I would love to bring in Maccelli cause he would be the perfect top 6 forward but if Stamkos walks, we need to keep a right handed forward to replace him on the PP.

This team isnt going anywhere
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>My non-Lightning fan view from the outside….
I am guessing if Stamkos moves, it’s more of a financial decision, that doesn’t really change the rest of the plan. Stamkos out, another guy in. Team approach remains. Still full speed toward win now.
But if Hedman moves, that would appear to be more of a strategic change…retool…whatever one wants to call it. And would appear to be a move that aims to look at maybe extending window a couple more years.
Does that sound right?
So what would a TBL roster, without Stamkos and Hedman, need the most?</div></div>
That pretty much explains it perfectly. although Stamkos is a PP merchant at best now and anything more than 5m is overpay for him at this stage in his career but replacing his PP production will be hard as we dont have another righty to take is spot yet. Hedman is still a top 2 dman on any team and while he is slowing down, hes still puts up points so moving him would strictly be to retool and get younger.
If Stamkos and Hedman were both to be gone by Preseason next year. i would say the biggest need is just a top 6 forward, a middle pairing dman, and usuful depth.
Hagel Point Kucherov can run the first line
Paul Cirelli ??? on the second line and then just find some depth guys (likely Syracuse call ups) that can fill the small holes in the bottom 6
Sergachev likely takes Hedman's spot but after him our left side is majorly weak. the right side is "covered" but can be improved massively with Cernak being injury prone, and Perbix/Raddysh being 4/5 guys at best

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kuuuuuuuch</b></div><div>he is worth trading to get a guy like MacCelli</div></div>
Yes and no. While Maccelli is a fantastic young player, Having Gauthier on an ELC would be more beneficial than another 3m+ contract for only 2 years. Now if we were to move on from Cirelli then i would be all for it

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>What do you think a Hedman trade would look like? To Devils or generally?</div></div>
This is all hypothetical but... If BriseBois decides he wants to move out Stamkos and Hedman for whatever reason. I could see Hedman being a draft day trade (maybe even retain 50% for max value). his value right now is probably a later 1st / Early 2nd and a top prospect, 50% retained can fetch a high first round pick easily with the right team that needs him the most. obviously he is probably more valuable to Tampa than anywhere else. but if a dman like Buium/Silayev/Dickinson/Levshunov falls in the draft past 10. Hedman could be used to get one of those guys

very unlikely Stamkos or Hedman get traded or even are on a different team at any point in their career but doesnt hurt to look

we should not be mortgaging the future this year. especially for someone that apparently would sign here for free in the offseason.

Literally with De Haan... said he was done for the off season and not even 2 days later signed De Haan. and almost does it every trade deadline. Made the move for Jeannot, said he doesnt see himself making another trade and then trades Namestnikov for Mikey 3 days later, same thing with Hagel and Paul
