I wonder how much the Johansen deal set the market for a deal like this and how much it influenced this trade.

With Johansson

It’s very unlikely he will for the regular season and hopefully he will be back for playoffs. But basically the plan would be tell Landy to take as much time as he needs and if he back for playoffs great if not thats why we spent his LTIR money.

Would Colorado do this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>They’d probably want someone like Nylander rather than futures</div></div>
Exactly, they would want someone who could help them win now. But also it’s possible they take this package of futures and flip it for something else, maybe like a 2C.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15a</b></div><div>Lindholm returns a better package and COL under no circumstances is moving the 23 1st for a rental which Lindholm would be.</div></div>
I would think they are absolutely in a position to start risking it to win it, at some point you have to realize you gotta start going all in and sacrificing futures like this.
But sure maybe that time isn’t now and I could get behind that but that first would likely have to be moved to fix 2C

Lindholm to Avalanche
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>Love the idea of Lindholm on the Avs but I think the Avs decline. Not enough term on his deal, no cap spacefor him, no real cap space to re-sign him and giving up the guy in this trade they'd be expecting to step in afterwards plus the pick in a deep draft that could be the other later potential player to replace him.</div></div>
Absolutely agree especially I find the issue with parting with Newhook because say you can’t keep Lindholm then your relying on JLF to try and become that guy, which as much as I like him may be a stretch.

I love the aav on the Kadri contract but the term kinda worries me, I mean we’ll see what happens but idk if I’m comfortable with a term over 4.
But in all honesty it’s completely realistic that’s what he will demand.

A lot, we’re talking about one of the best players in the last 10 years and he really hasn’t fallen off. So I would suggest looking at other posts about Kane and comparing the trades to yours.
If the value is similar than thats on me and I have must have missed something.

I mean sure but he’s still kinda young and still can get better so we don’t really know what the contract will look like, and for long extensions like this we don’t really know what it will look like.

Would agree certainly a little much on the dollar front but maybe he becomes better offensively. Really with this deal it’s all just a “we’ll see” scenario.

I actually like the deal for the bolts. Elite defensively, good at faceoffs, good skater, could be better offensively but overall I think a good deal for a 2C

Stock Pile Picks
That Colorado trade has sent me thru a mental washing machine. If your thinking Compher is that much of a cap dump you are in fact incorrect.
Comph is a good 3C and his contract of 3.5 isn’t all that bad, sure it may be 500k too much but it’s not talking a first to dump him.
