<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafsleaks123</b></div><div>Thank you for your sympathy, sorry about round 1. Your argument about Calgary is just plain silly just because the players want out doesn’t mean they aren’t highly coveted. Also no way Carlo or Frederic want to play in Calgary either, I’m not even sure about Hall.
Winnipeg isn’t giving up a solid pick in a great draft for a guy who was a third liner until he started playing with Bergeron and Marchand.
Swayman is a stud but goalies are iffy and Seattle isn’t giving up a potential long term top six center for a non elite goalie. Also where are you hearing he wants out? Now I know you’re just making things up.</div></div>
Why apologize for rd. 1? However shortlived you finally made it the second rd. Carlo and Frederic don't have NTC's and are under term. Hall is from Calgary. Hall and Lindholm's career numbers are very similar. Both wildly inconsistent. 45pts ot 75pts? Depends on the year.
The comme t qbout Debrusk is plain silly. He has 25g or more 3x. 1 was with Bergeron and Marchand. Two were as 2nd line LW. He was bad during one covid year. Easily and clearly a top 6 winger. Also - if we're playing that game - let's apply the same logic to Lindholm and look at his numbers with and without Tkachuck and/Gaudreau vs a struggling huberdeau or maniapane. It's almost like playing with more talent will allow production to go up. Like, maybe say Debrusk was giving 1st line and PP time his production would reflect.
Swayman is elite. Hearing Wright was pissed about going back to the OHL, and how he was handled overall.
I guess we'll see.
Also - seriously the JD opinion is odd. He had one really bad 41g stretch during covid where he talked about how the isolation was hard on him.
Also - would you consider Brock Boeser a 3rd liner?
Goals per 82gp
Boeser: 28
Debrusk: 26 (28 if you remove covid year).
Career highs:
Boeser: 29, 23, 23
Debrusk: 27, 27, 25
One guy gets a ton of pp and 1st line ice time. One did/does not.

Agree to disagree.
Term on the calgary deals is important. Lindholm wants out.
18th overall for Debrusk is a good deal. Especially if they deal PLD, Schiefele and/or Heleybuck. Better picks coming back.
Swayman is the best player in the seattle deal hands down. #1 goalie who is 24 vs Center who played ok and was still sent to O and also wants out.
I am sorry you have to watch the leafs.

Frederic is not good at protection. He's fearless, but gets beat up, alot. I am glad he could one punch some dude who isn't a fighter, but they need some bulk. I certianly wouldn't pay lucic, but league min to be a vet and provide a little protection, isnt end of world. I dont get the hesitancy? So what if he is in press box 40 games. Really it's for comradery. They are all still very tight.
Nobody is afraid of trent frederic or Aj Greer. Again, 12th/13th F. Don't expect too much..really a cheap body.

Mostly, but still only 20 and didn't do so hot in the AHL. Short sample, but goalies tend to develop mid 20's. College Goalies, maybe a little sooner. But 23-25.

For the love of god not Lucic. Does nobody actually watch him play? My dead grandmother moves better than him. He’s a liability.
Love the Gudas signing. He probably can do better.
I think Bertuzzi leaves.
One of the better Swayman trades I have seen. But Wings have their future #1 in Cossa.
Not moving Frederic unless contract becomes a problem.
Zona not taking on salary even though that’s a lopsided deal in their favor.</div></div>
46 would 100% be contingent on 37 as well. Both come back on heavily incentive laden deals. They wont reach because they both only play 45-55g. Krejci gets to 800pts and Bergy chasing 450g. No back to backs amd they just play a light schedule.
Lucic is esssentially the 13th F. They are all close. He takes.Foligno role as veteran prescence and policeman. He can still punch a dude in the face better than most. Don't see Tkachuck engaging with Ullmark if Lucic is on the ice. Again, 13th F. Give Greer, Merkoluv, Kuntar, torposki, Harrison, or beecher some run. I want him dressed against the rangers so trouba doesnt do what he did to meier to Pastrnak or Lysell.
Frederic - I like him. A lot actually. They sat him in the playoffs. He isn't essential. They need to reload a bit and his conract will start to be a proble. - what do you see as his ceiling?
Gudas - hope he'll take slighlty less for a chance and 5 other Czechs. They could also go a bit more.

I am not sure a 2nd is realistic. He is legit a 6th or 7th dman. Especially on a good team. Tb let him go for 850k, I don't see them giving a 2nd.

Canucks wouldn't take a contract back to get what will essentially be a third round draft pick since the Bruins pick will be the last pick in round 2. Especially one with more term then Schenn has.</div></div>
Hopefully my trade was first?
My thought process was Reilly is an NHL dman. He is just redudant on the Bruins. He's a good bottom pair and could run a pp2. Calgary could retain and flip for a 3rd to a contender.
Steen, I don't - Vancouver seems to do ok with Swedes. In all seriousness, he's NHL caliber. Scene change would ne good for him. Not a world beater, but serviceable bottom 6 for cheap.
Why does evwryone think schenn will fetch a lot? He is a 7th dman. A 3rd would be as high as I would go. Steen is basically to take Reilly's $. I do think they could flip him.
Not sure if they have enough rentention slots open though. Basically buying picks for a team that should be backnin the playoffs next year.

It's depth. Big, strong, depth.
I'd rotate based on who they are playing. Someone will miss games. Zboril has a higher ceiling, but very inconsistent. Schenn is what he is.
Lucic is a force. He fits the chemistry the team has and would be 12th/13th setting a tone. Or at the very least, making guys think twice about running 48 and 25 through the boards.
Ruzicka - I could live without. Like the player, but probably wouldn't.crack linep. Was thinking more about Nosek's departure in the offseason.

Literally the first comment on this acgm is saying these deals are terrible for BOS, and it's from a Leafs fan of all people LOL. So it's not just "us two".
The one thing I don't understand when acgm's say "that's your opinion", isn't that the whole point of posting an acgm? To get the opinions from others so that we can all pick pieces from everyones opinion to conclude what is most realistic/logical? Otherwise why post the acgm at all if you don't like what people have to say about it?
Don't be upset when the trade deadline passes and BOS does none of these trades. And then hopefully you'll understand why these trades weren't done in hindsight.</div></div>

Not defensive. Lime I said no issues if you hate it and tell me, but don't use made up logic or facts to justify.
What did you make up?
- they are not in worse cap shape. Pretty close, but they gain about 500k - 1m+ in space. 1.15 QO for frederic, but he seems like he's looking at 1.75+ for next deal. Carlo's at 4.1 vs 4.95 for Garland. You do lose a spot, but let's have Lysell in his spot.
Honestly - Carlo, Debrusk Frederic, Smith and Reilly are the most likely to be traded - not saying they will, but if they do end up going after a big name like chychrun or a meier. Couple of those names are probably going the other way.
Oh, I won't be upset at all if these trades don't happen. I think you miss the point of the acgm. It's fun. It's ideas. It's not a job application. I am not hoping for this. Cam isn't going to see this and offer you Sweeney's job

It's your opinion and that is fine, but don't like it's anything more. You keep referencing "people". It's not. It's you two.
You seem to miss the part where one team (fan base) will feel like it's too much or little. When I make these, My thought is, I'd rather give up too much than too little. It's the base of the deal. The premise. Add a pick or prospect if it floats your boat. Honestly, I don't care.
