<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Propeller09</b></div><div>No, I could care less what you think & it's not like 40 people agreed with you. It's you two.
You brought some person not involved at all into for nonother reason that to (attempt) to troll them. Not really a lot of room for argument there.
He was not in thread. You brought him into to troll and make yourself feel better. It's weird. If you notice, this isn't uncommon with you two.
I am not the GM. I think this helps them win now. I don't mind thoughtful arguments or reasons. You provided no actual reasons or facts and acted like you did. You didn't.
It's your opinion and that is fine, but don't like it's anything more. You keep referencing "people". It's not. It's you two.
You seem to miss the part where one team (fan base) will feel like it's too much or little. When I make these, My thought is, I'd rather give up too much than too little. It's the base of the deal. The premise. Add a pick or prospect if it floats your boat. Honestly, I don't care.</div></div>
I think you're confused honestly. There is no trolling going on here. If you think comments being critical of your decisions/opinions are trolls, then I'm not sure what to tell you.
Literally the first comment on this acgm is saying these deals are terrible for BOS, and it's from a Leafs fan of all people LOL. So it's not just "us two".
The one thing I don't understand when acgm's say "that's your opinion", isn't that the whole point of posting an acgm? To get the opinions from others so that we can all pick pieces from everyones opinion to conclude what is most realistic/logical? Otherwise why post the acgm at all if you don't like what people have to say about it?
Don't be upset when the trade deadline passes and BOS does none of these trades. And then hopefully you'll understand why these trades weren't done in hindsight.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DefenseFirst</b></div><div>No - he produces more with fewer minutes.
You’re right it doesn’t hurt this team - it kills this team. I’ll take tampa over them all day with these moves. You know how people say, “ohhh so and so is fired if they make this trade?” I think this is the level beyond that. If Sweeney even mentioned the carlo trade to Neely I’m pretty sure that would be his last day as the GM of the bruins. It’s just inconceivably bad.
This is absolutely a major overhaul. I would certainly make the case that carlo is the 3, not the 4. You’ve rebuilt two thirds of the third line - one of the best third lines in the league - and there’s nothing that would make anyone who’s paid attention think that its changed for the better.
Top four - way worse. Destroyed. F’d in half.
Third line - maybe lateral move if we’re lucky
Cap? Oh much worse.
Future? - way way way worse.
This is the most self destructive trade I’ve ever seen a fan propose (for any fanbase), maybe behind the works of harryharryharry
Just truly dreadful.</div></div>
Amazing with all your spot on hockey opinions you aren’t in a front office somewhere. You’re comments always make me cringe a little… check in on your loved ones

C’mon man unless you’re a troll or someone who doesn’t watch hockey you should know how bad this is. No one is going to give anything of value up for OEL. We’re stuck with him and his contract.
And what is that Vegas trade? Canucks would have to give up AT LEAST a 1st and top prospect for Theodore. He’s not a player they’re looking to dump because of their cap situation

None of these assets are particularly valuable to the Flyers. Frederic is a player who looks like a career bottom 6 grinder, a mid to late first, and a bad contract. Flyers want more pieces like Beecher, Debrusk, or primarily Studnicka

Last Hurrah for 33
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habhater</b></div><div>Sorry, yes 33, my bad. I believe the B's were wrong in not signing Chara last year. Sure he is old and slow, but still useful. I think we all thought that we could have used him the playoffs last year - besides for the low aav he is worth the risk for what he does and what he can being to the room. The B's should not throw him out with the trash like they did with Orr who, although a Bruin-to-the-core, retired as a Blackhawk.</div></div>
You realize that Boston offered him more money than WSH right? They offered him a contract and just asked him to take on a lesser role so he wouldn't wear down over the season (like he did in WSH). Chara decided not to come back and funny enough in WSH played almost the exact role Boston wanted him to play. The Bruins didn't "throw him out with the trash" as you put it, they worked very hard to find a solution that worked for what the team needed and what Chara wanted.
Again there is no "wrong" that the Bruins need to right.

And I understand covid being a big factor and whatnot. But I've seen him in the playoffs all the years before, and he's never stood out to me then. The numbers verify that. There is probably a big reason why every year they go out for a big rental on the wing, and especially going for Hall long term
>His other regular season numbers besides last year, all look good. But, "GOOD". Not an Eichel overpay. Not a bust. Good. If you want to be mad at everyone else's comments, that's fine, but go harass them. I really don't think I'm saying much off the board here.
>Since for whatever reason Buchneivich has entered the conversation, you can go through my armchair GM teams and look at all my Eichel trades... they were Buch + WAY more than what is being offered on this trade. Swear I saw you say he’s pretty much been a bust 🤷🏻♂️
Anyway you do realize he is not the primary piece right? The 2 1sts and Carlo are the 3 big pieces.
Reality is neither team does this. Does not work for either of them.

He has cracked 50 points once in the national hockey league. Double and triple check if you’d like.

From the boston trade take out debrusk. Then take out Beecher. Then it’s fair for a mid 40 point rental center like hertl is.

Maybe a more realistic scenario
That Debrusk deal with retention probably won’t work. Think they can get that price (and more) from a transitioning team (like CLB) without having to retain. It would be selling him at his lowest value — wouldn’t be surprised to see BOS give him a shot to increase his value before considering an in-season trade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Random2152</b></div><div>This is probably an unpopular opinion here but I think this is a bit much.
Not by a crazy amount or anything, but Carlo is a solid but 1-dimensional #4 getting paid like a top4 Dman.</div></div>
I don't know that I'd call him "1-dimensional" as he has untapped offense to his game. He made the team because of his defensive game and if you look at his d-partners they've typically been offensive minded. This forced Carlo to be more of a stay at home d-man and kind of abandon his offensive game. Now the last few years they've encouraged him to get more involved offensively and he has. Now is he going to be an offensive force? no not at all. IMO he's a guy that at his best is probably a 20-25pt d-man who plays a shutdown role and PK horse.
