Bring in schieffle send out nylander
Confident Jets are on Nylander's 10-team no-way-Jose list. Even if they're not, pretty sure Winnipeg won't trade Scheifrle to get back a player that is also 1 year out from getting out

If he'll waive, Seattle likely does that. You must want Tank back real bad!

Nylander Trade
You realize Seattle has over 10 million committed to 3 goaltenders as it is, don't you? They have no reason to take on Matt Murray. Want help with cap space? It will likely take considerable more incentive than Robertson.

Seems you're getting your back up. No need. Again, where was this reported, as you said?
Nylander is a good player, no doubt. But is he 10 million worth? Doubtful. Leafs fans obviously don't think so. By looking at your trade package, Toronto would value a solid RD and cap space more than keeping Nylander in the fold, and that's totally understandable . . . What I'm saying is I think Seattle would, also, and would pass on this trade, IMO.
Agreed, PP needs improvement, which is where the reports on their interest in Karlsson are coming from.

Quoting: SirRobo

You don’t understand LTIR if you think that statement is true. Also Kraken have been reported as interested in Nylander and are very likely to pursue him in free agency if he were to come available. They need a gamebreaker, so I think they’d be happy to have him at 10m in a sign and trade

Reported where?
Kraken needing a game breaker might be a bit exaggerated. Like to have one, sure. They had no issues scoring last season, all throughout their lineup, though such results could be difficult repeating so a truly elite add might be welcome depending on acquisition cost and contract.
To that point, I think Francis would be quite unhappy signing a winger for 10 million per season, actually. Especially with the added loss of their top RD with a great contract.

Nylander for McCann
Confident Seattle doesn't do that. McCann has one of the best value contracts in the league, currently. Nylander is a great player, but his contract status and history of holding out likely nixes any interest from Seattle. First he has to want to extend in Seattle, but even if he did, sounds like he won't be had for less than 9-10 million. McCann at half that price is far and away more appealing.

Yes, I read your description about Brodie to any team, but as you made a point of scrolling down and selecting Seattle for the trade, one assumes you thought there might be a fit. I thought I'd make a point of saying there likely isn't.
This league is real opposed to doing anyone any favors, especially Toronto it seems. Knowing how solid a defensive d-man Brodie is, it is obvious Toronto is only trading him out of "cap-desperation." If Brodie fetches a 2nd rounder, good on them, but I feel other cap-clearing moves made by other teams this off-season are the standard.
Blows my mind how Toronto is going to move forward seemingly committed to the same 4-5 guys. This is not a better team and that defense is suspect to say the least.

I don't think Brodie is a player Seattle would be interested in, and I think considering Toronto's cap situation, the value Leafs would get in return would be considerably lessened.

Cat and keep Wahlstrom
Seattle actually has no pressing need for a forward, with 11 on the roster and Wright, Kartye, Lind (and possibly others) all likely going to be given a fair shot to make the team. Kraken are especially deep on the wing which makes Palmieri a very unnecessary and expensive addition to the roster. With intriguing and more affordable names still available in free agency, there are many alternatives available for Seattle to land additional depth that make more sense than this move.

Way overvalue Olofsson to think Seattle would give their most recent 1st and 2nd Round picks to acquire him. No matter the asking price, could Buffalo fans kindly recognize the forward depth in Seattle, especially on the wing, both on roster and in the system, before trading him! Olofsson has no value to the Kraken whatsoever.

Toronto isn't signing Reaves just to trade him, and that deal (term) is horrible. Please no.
Schmidt is of no value to the Kraken, so that comes no where close to the value needed to extract Burakovsky.
Doubtful Appleton fetches a 2nd unless he gets his production up closer to where it was a few years ago. At the trade deadline, Dillon may return a 2nd rounder. (?)
I doubt Bruins will give up Carlo, and again, it's tremendously uncommon (and considered bad form) for teams to sign a ufa (Bear) just to trade him.

Max that can be retained on Pageau is 1/2 his salary ($250,000), not $300,000.
Seattle likely to have zero interest in adding Joseph to an already deep forward group.

Can't see that being a substantial enough return for EK, considering retention and the players going back (?) Seattle would definitely need to subtract a contract or 2, but can't see Schwartz waiving his NMC for San Jose at this point, and Wennberg might just have them on his NT list. (?) Tough deal to execute.

4 years at 3.6 million and change makes for a probable 'no thanks' from Seattle. Factor in he's a winger, Seattle's deepest position, and I'm sure it's an even easier no.

Did you ask Crosby about the first trade??!! lol Guentzel is a heck of a player but I'm just not sure Seattle would make this move. (?) Assuming firstly that he doesn't put Seattle on his 12 team no-trade list, the bigger question is would he want to sign an extension and what would that look like. (?) Rutta has next to zero value to the Kraken over their current RD, especially at that cap hit for 2 more seasons, and the prospect does little for Seattle either, I imagine. Of course, in Pittsburgh's perspective, that is not nearly enough return for a top-line winger, especially with retention, so I can't see Dubas doing it either.

Jets should have no interest in Miller given his salary and the evidence re: his behavior with teammates and so on. Lowry is extremely valued moving forward for what he brings to the team.
Seattle does not have cap issues and would likely not trade high draft capital to extract Driedger. A buyout would only leave them with a $500,000 cap hit for next season.
