Welcome to the Ottawa Senators Joonas Korpisalo
Trades not bad
They need a top 4 righty tho cuz that right side needs work
Everybody dissing korpisalo has no idea how good he actually is. Ottawa just needs to fix their right side and they'll be a playoff team

McNucks
Why would you give up the 2024 1st when you know they won't make playoffs.
You're giving away a 50 point winger, our top prospect and a 1st for a top 4 defensive defenceman who doesn't contribute much offensively.
Pesce only has 1 year on his contract too so he's a rental.
Also holy crap what an overpayment for compher
That's an overpayment.

Tbh I know he'll cost something. Apparently canucks and sharks have a deal worked out for months so we're either waiting for Myers Bonus to be paid in September or for Karlsson to move. Either way the return will probably be minimal.

I don't think he does anymore. With orlov signed and apparently bunting in the works, they are probably more pressed to move him.
Also the fact he's 1 year from FA. Not to mention garland is a 50 point winger with limited pp time and a 2nd. I think it's fine.
But of course everyone values their players differently bcuz they've had more exposure to them

For the LA trade, I thought the kings were trying to move one of their rhd based on reports I've seen. Is that not the case anymore?
Canucks would love a rhd

Predictions and line combinations
I love these lines. The second line was a beast analytically last season. First line has high potential as well. I would maybe swap kuzmenko and mikheyev just cuz it'll help kuzmenko reach his potential.
I do think Rathbone makes 3LD, and then dermott plays 3RD. Burroughs will make the team cuz he played very well but will be scratched unless they're playing a big team.

True, I'm just throwing out a scenario in which he doesn't want to re-sign. I modeled it after the eichel trade:
1st = 1st
Tuch = Garland
Krebs /= woo + 2nd

Wow...reading and comprehension must not be a big thing in the US. I said he's been at a point per game or over in most of his seasons with Vancouver. This is because you mentioned he had one good season in his career. 72 points in 69, 46points in 53 games and finally his 99 point campaign. Can't believe I have to spell it out for you 😂
Your bias is clouding ur comprehension and player evaluation skills. You're out of your element kiddo

Marino, 3rd for Miller
Marino, Kapanen for Miller (-$2.625M)</div></div>
It's you who needs to get real. Miller's been at a point per game or over in most of his seasons with Vancouver. Last season he put up elite numbers that put him around 10th in league scoring.
You're not getting all that for just a top 4 defenceman and a 3rd 😂😂. Your bias is showing

Late 2023 first

There's rumors pens are trying to move Marino anyways, getting a great center/winger would be great for you guys
Miller is a 99 point player that plays all situations and you get him at 2650000. Plus he'll probably re-sign too since he's from the Pittsburgh area

Off-season moves - Marchment Newhook
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>If I'm Colorado, I probably give Newhook the reigns on 2C and see how it goes. There's very little chance that they'll be able to afford JT moving forward, with MacKinnon/Byram needing to be re-signed in the same offseason. I'd imagine they probably try to lock up some of their own team before they even look at the trade block.
With Marchment...ouuuuu babyyyy...I'm definitely a fan, but that's a whole lotta money to pay for, as you said, that small sample size. He looks good, but 27 year olds putting up the best point pace of their pro career (including AHL) scare me. Could look dandy with Brock and Petey though...</div></div>
Yeah I agree with you. I personally don't think newhook is ready for 2C yet, I don't think he could produce at a 90+ point pace like Kadri or Miller, which sets the avs back. The nice thing about the Miller contract is it expires when Mackinnon needs an extension so realistically they can go for it next season and then look at different options if they don't want to pay Miller.
Marchment might get less than 5 mil, I think a lot of teams have ur mindset. He's got a really low sample size and he played on the most offensive teams in the league. He's still a good player and good defensively. His corsi was even good last year for Florida. I personally would love him on the Canucks.

Bro literally pay attention to your team, it seems like I pay more attention to them than you. They did an interview with Sakic, check it out.
Giroux wants to go to the avs but I think it would be smarter to go with a cost controlled Miller who can play in every situation and is just flat out better.

Sakic literally said they have to make a big move because they need to take the next step with this roster. Probably cuz Kadri will be too expensive to re-sign. Miller addresses your teams needs and he's q top line Center that plays in all situations and is over ppg. A late first, newhook ( mid first) and barron ( 2nd) is completely fair.

Honestly laf and nils corsi isn't very good for a team that's winning a lot of games. Tells me they aren't playing very good, plus their stats aren't great either. Sure this is nils first season so I'll cut him a break, but lafs stats aren't very good. Maybe he needs a change in scenery.
