To EDM: Carrier (50% RS) & Sissons
To NSH: Ceci, Bourgault, 2024 1st

It is, I see Carrier as a decent upgrade to Ceci (others may disagree which is fine) and adding Sissons would be huge.
Potentially worth the price paid.

I'm not sure who's left for free agents but if there's any defensively solid bottom sixers left they should sign one, seems like a team that could really use a bottom six line that has an identity.</div></div>
The 3rd line of Holloway-Mcleod-Foegele was really effective when together. No idea why he broke it up.

I wouldn't mind seeing a "Get Your **** Together Line" of Kane-Nuge-Brown. In reference to injuries and playoff performances lol

I reckon they're waiting to see what McLeod's contract comes in at before inking Bouchard. It seems backwards, but McLeod holds the Arbitration hammer.
Depending on McLeod's AAV, they can do any of 1x$3.5M, 2x$3.9M or 3x$4.5M for Bouchard. Whatever fits their budget.
I think we'll see Bouchard signed within a week of McLeod.

Sacrificing Kulak
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RWellington</b></div><div>Well that is the conundrum right there.
- Would I rather EDM trade Foegele or Ceci instead of Kulak ... yes everyday of the week but that seems unlikely this offseason (Core member nonsense & Nurse partner)
- Is moving Kulak in order to resign Bouchard and Mcleod + run a 22 man roster worth it ... I believe so, their value on the roster far exceeds Kulak as a 5-7 dman
- Broberg dilemma, EDM appears unwilling to move on from the player and will place him in a position to get the most minutes possible.
The way I see it EDM should have dealt one of Foegele, Ceci or Kulak in order to sign the RFA's and make a 22 man roster. I dislike the 11&7 for extended stretches as Woody deployed, and I genuinely believe the Oilers need to carry a 22 man roster minimum. It didn't bite them as bad as it could have last season.
You can call Jones, Toews, and Bear replacement level but price tag matters and in order to make the pieces fit someone has gotta go</div></div>
They'd be better off keeping Kulak, running a 21 man roster and accruing cap space to be used later. IMO.
I guess it all depends on what they end up signing the RFA's for, and we can't know the correct strategy until we have those numbers.

I know they prefer to do offseason work, but they could really position themselves with a tremendous amount of mid season or deadline cap by using paper transactions on Pyotr too.

I'm willing to pay for him, not a lot, but I'd pay. The above deal is fine frankly.
I really don't know why you'd put a puck mover with Nurse and expect him to be the stay at home D, for how much he is making against the cap, he is supposed to be the puck mover on his pairing and be defensively responsible.

I think you undervalued Severson and overvalued McLeod.
That Bouchard contract scares me but that’s likely what will happen.
Don’t see CHI moving Raddysh especially for that. I think they’d prefer Foegele to Yamo.
I think Ceci is worth that or more but some fanbase disagree. Gotta find the right fit. Don’t think it’s Ducks more likely Buffalo or even Devils/Wild.

I like that Raddysh deal with the 2nd. I agree that Foegele is serviceable, I just wouldn’t expect a 3rd in return for him.

He's a lefty. Edmonton already has Nurse, Ekholm, Kulak and Broberg under contract next year at LHD. They simply aren't interested in Edmundson, not even a little bit.
And then there's your ask: a 2nd and an NHL-ready power forward for a 1 year rental 3rd pairing defenseman who has known back issues and can no longer compete at the NHL level. Pretty ambitious of you.

Looking at Next Year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TraderJoes</b></div><div>Why is Janmark getting so much? You can find 6 goal scorers for a lot less. Interesting that you have him ahead of Kostin, who has been much better.
This looks pretty reasonable though. I do expect Holland to make some larger moves in the summer.</div></div>
His current scoring pro-rates to ~10g and 20a over an 82 games period while being a net positive player at 5-on-5 when away from Drai and McDavid (20-18 GF) and killing penalties. I don't know about your gauge, but that strikes me as an entirely reasonable cap hit for such a player. While I agree Kostin has been effective, he's also been pretty high-event and has run pretty hot this year. I think a short term deal (1 or 2 years; not 3) at ~900k to see if he can replicate his success is the likely arrangement.

Jensen and Eller
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RWellington</b></div><div>One thing I thought about while doing this AGM was the fact that WSH isn't going to go full rebuild, they are still in the Ovi era and would likely retool rather than rebuild. Ceci is, as you stated, under contract for two more seasons and if they feel like they will lose Jensen this offseason why not flip him for a decent 2nd / 3rd pair RHD?
Adding Eller into the deal is maybe where WSH says no.</div></div>
I doubt it I think the 3rd for Eller is very fair. Biggest problem is using up 2 retention slots in one deal but not that big an issue
