Yeah, maybe he won't. I wouldn't.
But then again, it's Sin City, some folks are into that. Maybe Bob was one of the Panthers' players in a strip club the night before getting swept.

They're not getting out of it completely. They'd still be paying 7,5M until 2025 and 2,5M in 25-26
And having that goalie duo doesn't scream getting out of it easily

Floride have no choice to cut salary.
And Hornqvist his the guy to sacrifice.</div></div>
With Duclair going to the LTIR, they only need to dump 1,27M. It may not necessarily be Hornqvist and if it will be, they could retain 50% to make the dump way cheaper. (They could also try to swap someone like Montour for a guy who fills the same role but for cheaper. Like Soucy)
Or they pay the price to dump hornqvist fully and acquire a dman, but I don't think they have the assets for all that

Fla - Buf Panthers pay steep price for Bobrovsky to go away
I doubt the Panthers are moving Bobrovsky. If they hang on for just this year, they'll have plenty of cap space going into 2023-24. And in the summer of -24, they can just buy him out

I like Hornqvist better than Zucker both because of his play style and contract. I also like Bennett more than the rest of the package to Florida. Bennett either gives Florida an elite center department or he could be traded for a top4 dman.

Cool. For this package you can pick any of the three you mentioned. Heck, maybe even a sweetener. But not Knight

I mean, he got 5 seconds more powerplay-time than in 20-21. Scored 4 more power play goals.
Sure his offensive zone start % jumped a lot, but still, most of his season was driven by a high shooting percentage that is bound to drop. If not completely to normal, at least to somewhere around 15-16%. So around 25-27 goals should be expected, and that's really good for a 31-year-old

His career average shooting percentage is 14,2% and last year he had 21,6%. That's not sustainable.
With his career average shooting%, he would've had 24 goals last season

I think Toronto pretty much needs 50% of retention if they were to acquire Dumba. They're so tight on cap. But that should be no problem seeing as you've built a 24-man roster with 2M of cap space to spare?

Yeah, he is good for ~25 goals a year. Very respectable, but not worth the pieces in this trade

I wouldn't call Nelson a 1C. Last year seems like an anomaly for a 30-year-old. He is a good top6 guy but those don't get you young guns like Boldy in a trade

I don't get why the Avs would want Reinhart, a winger. Don't you need a center?

I definitely don’t think a 2nd is out of the question. It may not be quite that much, but it will cost a bit.</div></div>
Yeah, the market is nuts. Moving Voracek will reportedly cost a 1st and a top prospect. That's why I don't think the Panthers will move Hornqvist. If they would've, they would have done that before free agency so they could have re-signed Marchment
But I don't think the NTC is much of a problem. It's for 8 teams, so basically just Canada

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BestGMBenning</b></div><div>The Russia stuff sucks but I think they’ll be fine honestly. They lost Fiala but they can still be a good team. It’s time for Rossi to make the team I think. Nothing but good stuff from him. Matthew Boldy even though some of his production came from playing with Fiala, I believe can still put up some pretty solid production. Those two have pretty high ceiling potential and I believe they can live up to it. The centre position will be fine I think. Especially with the amount of production Hartman put up. Playing between Zuccarello and Kaprisov. And then you got Eriksson-Ek. He sort of just put up 26 goals and 23 assists this season and still relatively young. I feel like he’ll keep improving. You can still get so much more production from the lineup. For Flower I feel like his numbers will look better playing 60 games this season again since he’s playing for Minny and not the hell hole of Chicago.</div></div>
Yeah, Flower's numbers bounced back immediately after leaving Chicago. But still, I feel like this team just took a step back this offseason even though they didn't have what it takes last season, either.
