Buffalo should have kept him instead of Girgensons. Good deal for Arizona.

Surprised he didn't get a better contract somewhere. He took two prove-yourself deals in a row and proved himself. Steal for EDM.

He was 'not his usual awful' in the playoffs, I'll give you that.

I really don't think they were going to resign any of them anyway, other than maybe Pitlick.

Moose is an average back-up, but he's well liked in the organization and has a good relationship with Hart. The Flyers don't have enough cap space for an upgrade, so I am perfectly fine with resigning Elliott for another year.

Hagg is terrible, of course. But there was no way the Flyers were not going to extend him, so overall I'm quite happy with how low the AAV turned out to be.

I'm surprised this contract is generally looked at positively here, considering how people hated the Spurgeon deal (who is a MUCH better player).

(PHI/NYR) - Bérubé for future considerations
Flyers only signed Berube in case of a ****show like last year where we used 8 different goalies. Now that the regular season is mostly done, we need space in the AHL for one of the goalie prospects, Ustimenko or Sandstrom. Rangers get a free goalie. Fair deal.

Fair. He also played in England last year and scored 0.57PPG.

He's not bad, but seems to be quite overrated. A decent powerplay option, but at 5v5, he's a second pairing defenseman at best.

Still, isn't overpaying for Pietrangelo (which I think is unlikely, considering he's quite underappreciated) much better than overpaying for Faulk?
