Leafs next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JALeafs</b></div><div>Have you seen their right-wing depth? They have none. And with both stars and prospects, they are stacked on the left.
Miller will also be pricing himself out of the team on his next contract. Especially with the Fox and Trouba deals.</div></div>
The Rangers have no RW depth, which is why they would trade Lafreniere (who has been playing RW all year). Makes perfect sense. Rangers can't afford Marner's next deal anyway.

Laf for his struggles is still worth a lot more than Sillinger. That plus the fact that the Rangers are already well set at center, the Rangers decline

Laffy or Othmann play RW
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rags21</b></div><div>I’m just saying No way Edstrom produces better than Leschyshyn in the AHL. There’s a reason one of them went in the 2nd round and the other in 6th round
Also you’re referencing points as a way to be successful in the NHL, when 4th liners rarely produce. He needs to figure out his game and he could be a fine 4C eventually</div></div>
Edstrom doesn't have to out produce Leschyshyn to (eventually) be a better fit on a 4th line. And Leschyshyn was drafted 6 years ago at this point and hasn't been able to stick in the NHL, where he was drafted is irrelevant. There are plenty of examples of players that put up great numbers in the AHL but can't make it in the NHL.
Of course points aren't everything especially 4th liners, but the most effective 4th lines can still chip in occasional offense (being on offense is the best defense). 0 points in 35 games, regardless of role, is brutal.
All that said:
1. I would be happy to be wrong about him
2. If Leschyshyn being on the roster next year is my biggest complaint about the team, things are probably going well

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rags21</b></div><div>If he’s an AAAA player, then what does that make Edström? Lol</div></div>
Hard to know what Edstrom is since he hasn't played a full season in the AHL. He has a chance to turn into something but I wouldn't exactly count on that. Probably more likely they sign another vet or two at about league minimum to fill out the 4th line

I wouldn’t sleep on Leschyshyn either. He’s good at faceoffs and had 15 points in 18 games when he joined the Wolfpack</div></div>
Leschyshyn also had 0 points in 35 NHL games. He is at best a AAAA player

RANGERS CUP WINNING ROSTER
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Coachchippy</b></div><div>He was the single biggest problem and embarrassment so yes</div></div>
Sure Panarin was terrible but people acting like he was the only reason we lost are so clueless. Zibanejad was a total no show. Fox had too many bad moments. Basically everyone not named Igor stunk after game 2. But sure, let's move him (even though that is impossible) so that we can bring back a washed up Kane at $4 million even tho outside of one nice goal did absolutely nothing all series

So the only difference between this team and the one that got embarrassed by NJ in the first round last season is effectively swapping Panarin for Hagel? And that is going to win us the Cup? Come on.

Realistic Laf Trade

I was shocked the Rangers hired him (taking into account a) the poor player development they already have and b) the amount of untapped potential their young players have)...</div></div>
I've seen that about Laviolette, but I think the assistant coaches they hired will help with player development. Read good things about Michael Peca and Dan Muse in that regard.
I'm also sure Drury knows the importance to the team getting Laf and Kakko to reach their potential will be, and stressed that during the interview process.

I'm hoping the new coaching staff will use Laf properly and get him to reach his potential, but I guess we will see. Interesting trade idea for sure.

Can Dach play on the right wing? Because there would otherwise be no room for him at center on the Rangers.
Regardless, I greatly appreciate that this is not another Josh Anderson and C-level prospect for Laf trade proposal lol.

what i want
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyle_Okposo_Lover</b></div><div>This seems the most realistic imo. But do you really think Vesey will ply first line?
I never see rangers fans do this, but why not but Goodrow over vesey? Goodrow is actually good, he was just a weird fit in NY imo. He could really thrive in a first line role though. Plus, Vesey really isnt good imo. Hes a solid depth piece but nothing more while Goodrow has proven to handle top 6 numbers pretty well. Just a thought tho</div></div>
Regardless the top 6 on the right side has to be two of Kakko, Laf and Wheeler. Preferably the first two if Laf can actually make the transition to the right side.
Goodrow is terrible in the top 6 and always drags down whoever he plays with. Vesey should only be a 4th liner but in a pinch he is the better option to move up the lineup if needed.

Would never happen but who says no
I think both teams say no tbh
Without Fox, the Rangers defense would be below average and with no Igor that would just lead to a disaster. They'd lose every game 6-5
Hard to ever imagining Edmonton trading McDavid, but if demanded a trade, they could probably do worse than this return.

So the Rangers are giving up a first to move Goodrow's salary only to not match an offer sheet for Laf? Makes no sense.
