Bullsh*t your way through arguments much? You read some review from some self proclaimed draft expert from 2 years ago and you think that gives you the knowledge necessary to argue with another teams fan about <em>their </em>players? Wallinder has no problems with "hockey knowledge" whatever the hell that is. He was U20 player of the year in the SHL and played top minutes for one of the best teams. And the comment about Fabbri is borderline stupid. If you think the value of a trade isn't right say so; but don't make random comments about players unless you do the research or watch the player.

Ivan Provorov has not done anything to prove he's a top pairing D. He had a bad season. And he is not a "top pairing defenseman on nearly every team in the league". Give it a rest. And you're not Bertuzzi's "literal biggest fan" if you think he's not worth more than Provorov.

And Slavkovsky may be a bust like Patrick or Kakko. You're not taking that into account. NHL GMs are extremely risk averse.

He is with an extension. You, like all Devils fans, are severely overestimating the value of that pick. It's just one CHANCE at a good player, Bertuzzi is ALREADY a great player.

The cost to move from 8 to 2 is roughly the number 13 pick and Bertuzzi with an extension is worth way more than the 13. In 2017 Derek Stepan got the 7th pick in a very similar draft. So take out everything else; Bertuzzi for the 2nd overall. You guys get a heart and soul power forward and we get a potential second line center.

I'm sorry but this is one goofy comment. Offensively anemic Lias Anderson got a 2nd from LA. Kotkaniemi, who Zadina has outproduced, got a 1st for Montreal and then Carolina signed him to that stupid contract. Zadina isn't worth a haul but a mid round pick? Give me a break.
