Assuming Hamilton is LTIR until playoffs to make the cap work?
P.S cap would be very tricky to work out for next year. Thankfully Mercer is having a down year so far, so his cap hit shouldn't be as bad as we originally thought.

NHL 23-24 Totally Wrong Standings Predictions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rodzikhockey93</b></div><div><strong>ATLANTIC</strong>
1. Toronto Maple Leafs 115pts
2. Florida Panthers 105pts
3. Boston Bruins 102pts
4. Buffalo Sabres 98pts
5. Ottawa Senators 95pts
6. Tampa Bay Lightning 89pts
7. Detroit Red Wings 87pts
8. Montreal Canadiens 76pts
Personally, I think this is Toronto's division to lose. I think the forward depth is the best its been and by deadline the blueline will be more addressed. If Morgan rielly plays they way he did in the playoffs he will be a top 10 Norris candidate. Florida i think keeps their playoff mojo. Montour isnt missing too much time and they did well adjusting their blue line. I think boston still has a top 5 d core in the league and goaltending is still elite but goal scoring will be down. I think Levi wins the Calder and Buffalo makes the playoffs with his performance. Ottawa I think competes well again but some naive losses keep them out of the playoffs. Lightning i think hurt the most with a deteriorated bottom 6. I think one major injury in the top 6/top4 takes them out of the playoffs. Wings are that team that will be stuck in mediocracy for years. Idk what Yzerman is doing here but this team isnt bad but definitely not good. Habs continue their rebuild in good fashion.
<strong>Metropolitan</strong>
1. Carolina Hurricanes 118pts
2. New Jersey Devils 114pts
3. Pittsburgh Penguins 102pts
4. New York Rangers 100pts
5. New York Islanders 96pts
6. Washington Capitals 90pts
7. Columbus Blue Jackets 84pts
8. Philadelphia Flyers 70pts
Its a two man race for division title. I think Hurricanes have slight edge with defensive depth and not as much question marks around goaltending. NJ will be the most fun team to watch scoring the most goals in the league this year. Dubas reshapes pens and i think they bounce back well with some better bottom 6 play and more stability in the back end. I think rangers take a small step back as I am not as confidnet in their forward core as most are. Islanders are the more polished version of the wings. Stuck in mediocracy but they have some better pieces to play with. Capitals Are in that weird window where they want to stay competitive for Ovi but will struggle to do so. CBJ will be fun and improve in their own end but still need another season or 2 to compete. Flyers tank hard but not as bad as shown.
<strong>Central</strong>
1. Colorado Avalanche 110pts
2. Dallas Stars 107pts
3. Minnesota Wild 100pts
4. Nashville Predators 93pts
5. St. Louis Blues 90pts
6. Arizona Coyotes 87pts
7. Winnipeg Jets 79pts
8. Chicago Blackhawks 65pts
Similarly with the Metro it really is a two horse race to the top. I back Colorado to win the division as I back the their stars more. Dallas however i see being more of the darkhorse to win the cup with their depth all around the squad. Minnesota reminds me of Boston where they just need to add that player down the middle. Or they bank on Rossi being that player. Nashville is a team where i think their young guys start to take over the squad in the Ozone while the vets they brought in help them adjust to NHL play. St. Louis is in weird spot. Not bad but just missing some elite level talent to compete with the rest of the division. Arizona i think are better than seem and take massive steps in the right direction. Winnipeg I think ends up rebuilding moving on from Scheifele and Hellenbuyck at deadline. Blackhawks go tanking. Bedard has strong rookie campaign and the veterans they brought in are there so they dont lose games badly but they still do not win alot.
<strong>Pacific</strong>
1. Edmonton Oilers 113pts
2. Vegas Golden Knights 110pts
3. Los Angelas Kings 104pts
4. Calgary Flames 99pts
5. Seattle Kraken 96pts
6. Vancouver Canucks 88pts
7. Anaheim Ducks 68pts
8. San Jose Sharks 54pts
Mcdavid and the Oilers win division in strong fashion. Vegas comes up close but some fatigue from deep run, injuries hold them back. LA finishes 3rd. However if they address the goaltending (Hellnbuyck/hart) well before deadline i think this team wins the division. But thats a big IF. I think Calgary bounces back. I think their D core is fantastic and forward core is still competitive to make the playoffs. Seattle I think are a bit overrated. They play a strong game but i think teams are going to start figuring out how to handle them. They take a step back. Vancouver tries to take a step forward but with the back end still leaky they miss out still. Ducks continue to rebuild but i think it might cost them. Zegras is getting impatient and believe a trade request is done. Sharks go full blown tank and end up with best chance for first overall.

For the Devils there aren't any realistic proposals.
Marner's two year of term is too short to fit with management's long-term strategy, which I agree with.

Trevling era? I hope not. His signing of UFA Kadri and the extensions to Huberdeau and Weager should seal his fate as showing he is incapable. Dubas never learned the value of the cap.....like Ferguson, Burke and Nonis before him. Why do the Leaf owners continue to hire lousy GMs? (and Trevling would be another)

GM Game V5 - Season 2
The following players' contracts on your team page are incorrect. Here are the corrected contracts:
Miles Wood $2,850,000 x 2 years
Vinne Hinostroza $1,650,000 x 2 years
Players must have the correct cap hit AND term in the roster/long-term outlook pages. Trading and retaining for a player to get the proper cap hit but the incorrect term will not do, create a player with the name and correct contract details if needed.

V5 General Chatter
Alrighty since bog voting is over and the boys club continues with everyones pal Gronk being elected (shocker).
Bog breaks rules for eklund to come back. He makes his page on the 11th. Very incorrect in every aspect btw. Bog waits 5 days to publicly post on cf thread things that are incorrect. I know hes gotten messages in gc and twitter too but clearly doesnt care to fix them. Youve hired 2 irl friends and skipped over potential capfriendly users (the platform we are hosted by btw) for gm roles. Theres a current minnesota opening which i know at least 3 current cf users that want to participate and youre just keeping them out because "theyre bad gms". How can you use that excuse at all when the kid you broke the rules to bring back hasnt updated anything past the scoring sheet on his page? The informations all in the threads guys. Took me an hour to recreate the team i deleted using only the trade/ufa resign/and ufa threads. It actually took me LONGER to create the page initially because the original SJS page was inaccurate.
List of things your newest bog member has done "jokingly/or not" harrassed multiple KIDS on twitter, made a parody of one of their moms accounts and harrassed him on twitter, repeatedly making fun of a kid with mental limitations, brought a double into the game, deleted his own page in v4 (which im somehow being punished for lol), etc. Again "jokingly/or not" theres no need for it. Its supposed to be a game for all, not a game for the few that are deemed worthy.
We literally have a conduct policy in place and hes overstepped that a few times without consequence. Zero accountability, zero remorse, and honestly i dont think anyone else in the game cares either which us the saddest part. Youve got a 15 year old telling me he wants to join the game and was trying to fit in and be cool and you rip him apart, make fun of him, and create an account of his mom? And then say he cant join the game (ive been told the reasons... Im well aware). Its gross. Members of the game reaching out saying to cool it, that im pissing off the mods, or why do i care so much? The community is toxic..the general chat in twitter for the game is toxic. Its just a pile on when someone says something. Theres a DAILY occurence within the chat of NSFW content. Nobody can defend themselves in there. Its not a welcoming experience at all. The amount of "****", or other derogatory lingo thats been shared in the chat towards other members. My newborn daughter has down syndrome, not many knew and quite frankly that shouldnt even matter. I know multiple members that were in this game have some sort of mental incapabilities and were mocked for it. Theres members of the game scared to say who they really are because of the majority of the group.
So which is it? You just dont like them so they cant join the game? Or are they "bad gms"? Sounds alot like what the mods said is true. But hey im just a crybaby right?
